"From Playstation to Xbox 360: A Leap of Faith and Unexpected Party Star Journey"

Now that I have finally given up on the "you never tried it, let me show you" gambit I can say that it really did take a leap of faith for me to move from the Playstation to the Xbox 360 - after all, I had just bought a 360 a few months before and after having been blown away by the picture quality and controller feel of the system I thought that this would be no different. In reality, my journey into the party star system on the Xbox 360 actually started with the new and improved 360 rebranded with my name. I had no idea how much I would enjoy playing with my Playstation buddies and after all this time finally decided to break down and purchase an Xbox 360 as a compromise between my two systems. I bought the original slim model, white and red, because it was less than I had ever dreamed possible and went on to wow the neighbours with several Mario Party and Mario Kart marathons. After many months of playing, however, my tiny game library was quickly depleted and for a limited time the stars aligned and I was able to purchase a mini white Xbox 360 with a copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Well, at least that was what I thought it was going to be until I opened the box and was shocked by the horrific sight of the cowering controller protruding through the rest of the device. I was informed that the controller I purchased was simply a prototype but at this point, when I thought I was getting all I could out of the system, I really wanted to get a Playstation 3 to go with the system, however, I decided to be a team player and see what would happen when I sold off my limited supply of the $2,000 controller to a couple of my Playstation buddies. The non-existent controller soon became a conversation topic over many drinks and would eventually come to define my connection to my Xbox 360 and if I had been able to buy a real controller, as well as the system itself, in its own right it would likely have not lasted long. I'll never know for sure, but I do know that if the Xbox 360 had been around when I got my new, beefier, white controller I probably would have never sold it off and my relationship with the system may have still been good.
