Not verbally, but it was confirmed visually during the Direct itself.
During Directs, when they get to the end of a video trailer for the game, they will typically show a slide that has the game logo in the middle and release date in the red section below. Above the game logo (so, top-middle of the screen), Nintendo will put a "Nintendo eShop" logo for digital-only releases. Games that get physical releases will be blank above. The release-date slide for Clubhouse Games does not have the "Nintendo eShop" logo, while games like Ninjala (which undoubtedly will be digital-only) do have the logo. This is not something new, it's something Nintendo has done for all of their Switch Directs.
