You'd think with the amount of games being developed & the current success/interest in the switch that a dedicated Nintendo site would be able to write interesting articles, interview developers about their games, & generally produce engaging pieces that people interested in Nintendo want to read. But this site just seems happy reposting videos & links to pieces/news from other sites while adding very little or nothing to the discussion. Opinion pieces such as 'hey guys, wouldn't it be great if the switch had franchise x' are even less interesting to read since anyone with any interest in Nintendo will have achieved the same depth of analysis after giving the current release schedule 2 minutes thought. After the wilderness years of the Wii U & having to sustain a Nintendo site without any actual news to report, now the site should be taking advantage of the switch boom, but happily chuffs out 3rd hand speculation & rumour instead. Basically this site has become garbage
Switch owners with kids under ten will immediately see the point of this & buy it, Switch owners without kids will have kids just so they can play it, non-switch owners with kids will want it too. The people who can't see the appeal will just complain about being asked to pay $80 for some cardboard, while not understanding that a 7 year old kid will get more out of this (entertainment/educational value) than the majority of equally expensive & overpriced plastic/electronic junk they normally get bought for Christmas. Maybe anyway.
