@Ravenmaster Much like The Witcher 3, I have it on PC but I'm getting this Switch port Day 1. I hope Saber Interactive pulls a Witcher 3 patch and also adds cross-platform save when it comes to PC.
@Tonyo "Underpowered junk"? The fact that the Crysis Switch runs AND looks BETTER than the PS3 version (with the Switch version having SVOGI and gyro aiming, and much more consistent framerate) is a testament to how capable the little device is!
Crysis on a handheld running better than its last gen console ports is by no means a small feat.
@Savino It's actually 900p docked with 720p handheld. Dynamic resolution just means when under very hectic situations it can dip to 540p on handheld (720p when docked).
Check out Digital Foundry's review. They basically said the game has been smartly optimized and will even receieve patches to further its performance.
@Razer The Witcher 3 had many effects cut down, and it definitely looked muddier until they introduced the sharpen filter toggle along with the ablity to switch off anti-aliasing in a subsequent patch. (TAA is a terrible AA solution for many Switch games it seems.)
Unlike XC2, this seems to be running on an upgraded version of the Torna engine, which avoids the original smearing messthe base game had by runniong on a newer engine. XCDE seems to be running on a more updated version of that engine, that doesn't use traditional TAA to avoid the awful ghosting effects, as a lot of handheld screenshots show much better clarity when compared to XC2.
Lastly, those numbers aren't actual performance numbers, but the lowest bound it could go to avoid framerate hiccups. One thing that they never seem to bring up is how stable the game seems to be running accorind to people with hands-on copies. People also seem to forget the original Wii version also had massive frame drops, particularly at the prologue scenes, whereas all the side-by-side videos shown of that exact same scene are a smooth 30fps in the Definitive Edtion.
@sixrings First of all the resolution numbers you've mentioned are for the worst case scenario, which I doubt the game will actually hit based on impressions given by other reviewers so far. Second, people have so far only focused on resolution and not over the fact that in-game performance has been very stable in both handheld and docked. Multiple previews have also stated the game plays with barely a hitch.
@Heavyarms55 FinalFantasy XII’s icon on Switch is actually different from the other installments! It actually features the artwork by Akihiko Yoshida on the front.
Is it for balance issues? They don't want people who can only see in 2D have the disadvantage to people who have the 3D on. Could also be the extra power is being used for networking.

Re: Poll: Did Nintendo Deliver Its Best Ever Indie World Showcase?
...But there IS gameplay footage of Eastward. 15 minutes of it, even! Though it was exclusively shown on IGN (it's on Youtube, however).
The game plays like an action RPG remenicent of Zelda and the Mana games, mixed the Earthbound quirkiness.
