I think people blaming others for buying it is a bit disingenuous, it should be on Pokémon themselves for releasing a product in this state. I felt at least there was very little revealed about the games before release and reviews didn't even come out until the game had almost released in some countries. Sure, you and I might wait to get a consensus on release but you can hardly blame the huge casual audience on the Switch's massive install base for trusting one of the world's biggest media franchises to deliver a quality product. So in my opinion, if they look at these huge numbers and decide they don't need to improve in the future, that's on them, not the consumers.
(For the record I don't think most people here are doing that and are putting the responsibility on Pokemon, but I've definitely seen it a bit)
@gcunit Oh yikes you're right, apologies, 'hard confirmation' was strong wording on my part that jumped the gun a bit. I'd tried to order earlier in the day and the site crashed while the payment was processing and never got an email, got it in this evening and got one so that's where that idea came from. Still, it's a confirmation of some sort at least, that's probably just to cover themselves in the case they can't fulfil it... which we sadly can't rule out in this case :/
Yeah for everyone getting charged £0.00, that's how the Nintendo store usually handles preorders, it's just an authorisation charge but it seems like it doesn't take long for the full amount to come out. So long as you've got your confirmation email seems like that's hard confirmation.

Personally I'm getting big Xenoblade vibes from this one (and I'm in love with the piano section)
