@KingMike I’ve heard the story presented like that before, and those elements are a little sad, but it really doesn’t come across very convincingly in the game. Mewt’s dad pretty much cleans up his act the second time you see him, and later helps you out. Marche immediately wants to go back to the “real world” but it’s hard to believe anyone would want to leave a world of fantasy and magic just because it’s not their original world. Like, you say you love being able to cast magic and stuff, your brother is no longer handicapped, just embrace it maybe? Just not very convincing. I’m currently replaying it after playing FFT and the story is just so weak in comparison. I do love the artwork and music though, and I love the expanded jobs and abilities. I’m just not a fan of the “kids enter magic book, gotta get back home” story, especially since they did it again in FFTA-2.
@johnvboy I mean, I’ve collected Amiibo since day 1, and I have over 100 of them, so I’m very familiar with them and the general amount of content they bring to a game. Most amiibo have provided something a little more more meaningful to the games they’re used in, even if it generally very minor, when compared to this amiibo. It’s not hard to understand why people are disappointed or dissatisfied with this release. I think it’s fair for people to expect a little more value from this, especially as amiibo prices increase.
@johnvboy This has nothing to do with what Nintendo is calling it. The argument is that Amiibo have always been physical DLC, downloadable content. With the Zelda amiibo, it's not providing any new content.
"Here's the bad news though. It seems that if you cancel your Nintendo Switch Online subscription, Nintendo will immediately delete your cloud saves. There isn't a holding period or anything like that, so make sure they're backed up."
Make sure they're backed up to what?? If you can't back up your saves to an SD card yet, whats the point of saying back up your cloud saves, if for save backups, cloud saves are the only option??
I've been a long time subscriber to Netflix, but honestly, keeping in mind the Switch's battery and 720p screen, I don't think I'd ever use it for watching netflix.. I'd rather use my phone, which has a brighter screen and better resolution for watching movies and tv shows.
I have very little interest in this, knowing the limitations of the tech in the joycon. But if I had young children, I'd be happy to get this for them. Something that has them working to make something, and then enjoying a game with it sounds great. The games will be incredibly simple and lack much depth, but that is what you get with these types of initiatives.
Still no online functionality? I feel like this is the Sonic of Mario games. Why does it still exist. And sure, there will still be people who defend this idea with the core of their soul, but does leaving out online functionality really make the game better? In 2017, no, leaving online play out does not make this game better.

Dude, Thomas, this isn't DLC, this isn't content locked behind an Amiibo. It's a QOL feature.

Re: Reminder: The Pokémon Sword And Shield Theme Returns To Tetris 99 This Weekend
I've played and beaten Sword, and the first thing I thought when I saw this article was, 'there's a sword & shield theme song?' oops.
Re: Random: Nintendo Of America Originally Wanted Pikachu To Be "A Tiger With Huge Breasts"
@Eel it’s a translated article, pretty sure they weren’t talking about jiggly boobies in that sense.
Re: Random: Nintendo Of America Originally Wanted Pikachu To Be "A Tiger With Huge Breasts"
I wonder if they were thinking something like Tony the Tiger from the Frosted Flakes commercials.
Re: Random: Nintendo's Selling Empty Boxes Of The Animal Crossing Edition Switch
Next up, a Switch Game Card flavored Lollipop.
Re: Random: Bandai Namco Thinks Pokémon's New Legendary Looks Pretty Familiar
I thought of Sif as well! It is not stretch to say they might have been inspired by Sif's design. It is also not a bad thing.

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 5.0.0 Is Now Available
It does seem underwhelming for a big update number, but I have a feeling they were laying the groundwork for certain new features to be added soon.

That kind of response hardly means anything. Its just a standard reply. They'll say that up until the day its announced.

I'm always hopeful, but that doesn't sound like a leak.
