Re: Wait, Did Square Enix Just Tease A Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster?

@KingMike I’ve heard the story presented like that before, and those elements are a little sad, but it really doesn’t come across very convincingly in the game. Mewt’s dad pretty much cleans up his act the second time you see him, and later helps you out. Marche immediately wants to go back to the “real world” but it’s hard to believe anyone would want to leave a world of fantasy and magic just because it’s not their original world. Like, you say you love being able to cast magic and stuff, your brother is no longer handicapped, just embrace it maybe? Just not very convincing. I’m currently replaying it after playing FFT and the story is just so weak in comparison. I do love the artwork and music though, and I love the expanded jobs and abilities. I’m just not a fan of the “kids enter magic book, gotta get back home” story, especially since they did it again in FFTA-2.

Re: Talking Point: amiibo Have Always Been Physical DLC, Skyward Sword HD Is No Different

@johnvboy I mean, I’ve collected Amiibo since day 1, and I have over 100 of them, so I’m very familiar with them and the general amount of content they bring to a game. Most amiibo have provided something a little more more meaningful to the games they’re used in, even if it generally very minor, when compared to this amiibo. It’s not hard to understand why people are disappointed or dissatisfied with this release. I think it’s fair for people to expect a little more value from this, especially as amiibo prices increase.

Re: Guide: How Cloud Saves Work In Nintendo Switch Online

"Here's the bad news though. It seems that if you cancel your Nintendo Switch Online subscription, Nintendo will immediately delete your cloud saves. There isn't a holding period or anything like that, so make sure they're backed up."

Make sure they're backed up to what?? If you can't back up your saves to an SD card yet, whats the point of saying back up your cloud saves, if for save backups, cloud saves are the only option??

Re: Hands On: The Future Of Gaming Is Cardboard, Thanks To Nintendo Labo

I have very little interest in this, knowing the limitations of the tech in the joycon. But if I had young children, I'd be happy to get this for them. Something that has them working to make something, and then enjoying a game with it sounds great. The games will be incredibly simple and lack much depth, but that is what you get with these types of initiatives.

Re: Review: Mario Party: The Top 100 (3DS)

Still no online functionality? I feel like this is the Sonic of Mario games. Why does it still exist. And sure, there will still be people who defend this idea with the core of their soul, but does leaving out online functionality really make the game better? In 2017, no, leaving online play out does not make this game better.
