"The recent release of Console Archives Cool Boarders, for instance, very carefully notes that the game originally launched on "a 32-bit home console" in the official blurb. Nintendo putting its foot down, or Hamster not wanting to take any risks?"
I'm guessing the latter, since the Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition that just released on the eShop today retains references to the PlayStation (and other systems) no problem. I doubt Nintendo has some sort of rule against this.
@FlyingDunsparce I know that the VR resolution for Mario Odyssey is higher, so I presume it's the same deal for any other VR modes in Switch games updated for Switch 2.
American here - mine got shipped yesterday, and I really can't wait to play with it. I'm pretty jealous people in other regions are getting theirs already... I made an Australian Nintendo account just so I could load the app onto my system a day earlier, so hopefully the Monday delivery estimate from FedEx is accurate!
It absolutely is baseless speculation, characters sharing voice actors doesn't mean anything. The K Rool animation is for the 15th of every month, that's how the Nintendo Today animations work. Incredibly embarrassing article to read
It's not mentioned in the article but Nintendo has also announced plans to update Donkey Kong Bananza with a Thai localisation as part of its business promotion(!)
@DadJKP not likely, because the relevant "I realised I was their sister" line (which was actually added for the remake) is consistent across languages. it's worded differently between the East Asian and the Western localisations, but she's consistently trans across the board, so I can only assume it was something passed down to all the localisation staff.

Re: Mario Kart World For Switch 2 Tops Famitsu's "Most Wanted" Games List
@JakedaArbok I think top 10 is actually pretty good for Bananza. (Also, where'd the idea the new DK is American come from?)
