@RedXIII Because I found it odd I left one comment that it could do better than projected (keyword: could) due to positive word-of-mouth, and you took it personal enough to suggest I did zero research and was a mainstream media zombie and drinking Kool-AId and feeding a narrative. I really could care less if this movie flops or not.

@RetroGames Exactly, so I don't know why you felt the need to come at me so hard when nothing on my stance was absolute.

@RedXIII Nowhere was I pushing a narrative, and nowhere did I suggest there is no chance of it flopping. It could flop. Much like it could do better than expected if word-of-mouth is strong.

I looked at the opening box office numbers as I hadn't seen what the movie had grossed, so I was curious if it had indeed flopped (if BoxOfficeMojo is a shill mainstream media source, please let me know.) Because the numbers were fairly comparable to Aladdin, I said, this "could" have a similar showing. Nowhere did I say The Little Mermaid is going to make a billion dollars.

@RetroGames and you have zero idea how much research I've done or what sources I've looked at, when all I mentioned were how the opening weekends were comparable ... I have zero investment in any of these movies, was merely stating a fact.

@RetroGames No need to be an ass, noticed how I said "could"... nowhere did I say it is bound to do to exact same numbers, just the ballpark of the opening weekend numbers at the box office numbers were fairly comparable. (214.7 million vs. 185 million.)

@Arawn93 It's a bit comparing apples to oranges though as Mulan was never released in theatres due to the pandemic.

Four of the remakes have grossed over a billion worldwide while some others were not even close. Dumbo only grossed 350M.

Also, Aladdin opened with similar box office numbers as The Little Mermaid and went on to gross over a billion worldwide, so if word-of-mouth is strong, it could have a similar showing.

I'm about 80% through this game as I never beat it back in 2004, guess I should've held out six months longer!

@EarthboundBenjy That's exactly what I'm doing right now haha. I'm on Disk 2 and following a guide. Some of the Magnus are downright preposterous but I still am enjoying the combat mechanics of this game. But can't blame you for tuning out!

@EarthboundBenjy Not to give you another game but if you haven't played Baten Kaitos, it's my favourite Gamecube RPG, and was made by Monolith Soft!

@Tyranexx Personally I started with this back in the Gamecube era and really enjoyed it. I think this is a great launching point.

@Anti-Matter This game was released nine years ago on PC, it's not like they can go back on development.
