That makes no sense though. Yes the maps and tracking system is different from World, but that's just World being unique in its own thing. The 'new' system isn't anything special or tailored towards the Switch. The next multiplatform MH for example won't have tracks and as condensed maps as World for example...
The main reason why it's on the Switch is because it's being worked by the B team. Ichinose always did the portable series under a budget. It's simple as that, there is no stupid gameplay reasoning. Graphics is a non issue as well, as everything is downscaled, not the other way around. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with it on the Switch as long as it looks exactly like the gameplay footages we are seeing now. The first trailer was extremely rough, it has gotten better. It still sucks that Nintendo paid to delay PC release, I mean companies do that for consoles but never really PC, they definitely didn't want to be overshadowed.

Good job falling for Capcoms marketing. Made specifically for portable? Lmfao OK. Explain how. Explain how any of the games system cannot be played on home console (let me remind you the Switch is a hybrid and most people play at home.). At most, you can pause the game wow. That's game changing!
MHW was multiplatform and millions was able to enjoy it. Don't be a console twerp. Reminder, you don't work to Nintendo. As a consumer, the more consoles the game appears on the better. Not always true as the Switch is generations behind in hardware but yeah.
