Re: Never Alone

Polyaqua

I just played and beat this game in one session on the playstation 4, as it was a freebee for ps plus members at some point. I played it single player, but it certainly seems designed like it would play much better as two player co-op, especially towards the end. It would require some level of communication on both sides for the puzzles to be figured out. It was a pleasant experience and would recommend it to a gamer of any skill level.

Re: Konami and Capcom Are Bringing Some SNES Classics to New 3DS

Polyaqua

I have had the same 3ds since june 2011, and I've heavily supported their virtual console on the wii, the 3ds and the wii u.

I find it insulting that nintendo would push the "new 3ds" at us in this way. I also believe that they are feeding us most of the same vc games over and over. When I brought my wii's data to my wii u, I mostly sucked it up with the discounted prices on the games I've already bought (in most cases for a third time, 1st. physical copy 2nd. wii's vc, and then once more 3rd. on wii u's.)

But not only does nintendo tell me I can not purchase these games unless I buy a "new 3ds", they don't even have the curtesy to offer them at a discounted price.

I don't mind paying full price for new vc games because I find it refreshing. But for example, konami's line up = games that are already on wii vc & wii u vc.

Long story short, I probably would have gone along with this, but nintendo, that was a unnecessarily slimy thing to do 😒

Re: Review: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Wii U eShop / SNES)

Polyaqua

ive always wanted a portable version of this.

seeing as it was planned but canceled as part of the GBA "Super Mario Advance" series.

i am infinitely sad that us in NA don't have this for Wii U VC yet.

i even bought a "Supa Boy" cept, it couldn't read the cartridge all that well due to the two extra bits, like if you look under the "skirt" of a yoshi's island cartridge. wasted $80 there. you know, JUST to play mario rpg.

i dont know why i am obsessed with this game as much as i am, probably because it is completely fantastic.

So, they tease use with Geno mii costume, then it's confirmed Europe gets Mario RPG, the hype is real.

Then nope sorry, you get Mario Galaxy for $20...
Which is pretty steap, I didn't mind paying $9.99 for some of the Wii games when they first made an appearance on the eshop, and like, I already have Mario Galaxy 2 (which I got for $9.99)

I've been following VC weekly since it came out way back on the wii, Christmas was ALWAYS a special part of the year where you knew and could depend on a great game coming out.

Now? It seems like they don't even have a plan. They are just winging it and for whatever reason, Nintendo of Europe seems to be winging it better.

I'm so glad they have phantom hourglass and we don't.

Merry Christmas
