Seriously, the number of third party games announced within the last week with no mention of Switch 2 is ridiculous. It’s clear that the console is capable of modern AAA games. Why any third party would favour a a failing platform like Xbox over Switch is beyond me (besides Microsoft paying for the honour).
Fair enough. My point is that most people who have looked at the game critically have noted these blemishes, but put them aside as the game is overall an excellent experience. The performance issues are worthy of criticism, but shouldn’t become the overarching narrative.
Yes there are technical shortcomings, yes a next generation Switch is overdue. But let’s not ignore the fact that the vast majority of reviews for this game have been overwhelmingly positive, despite any perceived problems with performance.
