My guess is that a Metroid Prime successor will be announced in Zelda's place for holiday 2015 and developed by Next Level Games w/h assistance from Retro. NLG have been working on a 'top secret' project since October 2012. That would make the development to release time frame 3 years this October. They've been on record last year saying that Nintendo keep giving them better and better IP to work with, and what could be bigger than Luigi's mansion that isn't mainline Mario or Zelda?
