I really enjoy retro aesthetic games like these, that won't require a near triple-digit playtime to get everything I want out of it. I only have time for so many Personas and Like a Dragons in a year, but when I can play a game over a weekend or two, I can fit a lot more into my plans!
I actually am unsure what will be announced here. The only thing I'm hoping is that the GB games get released on to the e-shop. Hopefully they also get put on to NSO as well, but I really want to be able to keep the games after the Switch online gets shut off years from now.
I personally strongly dislike award shows, and I agree with this wholeheartedly. Giving the winners a chance to fully express their gratitude, honor the memory of people who have passed, and have their moment on stage feels like the only important part of an awards show to me. That actually has some meaning, whereas I don't personally think that choosing which game is the universal "best" in any category does.
I really want to see the Gen 1-3 games on Switch, but I hope they don't get monkey pawed onto the NSO service. I would rather buy them individually so that I don't lose access to them if I drop the subscription or NSO shuts down someday.
I get that I am part of the problem but I'm fine to buy them for a third time so I can play them on my Gameboys, 3ds, and Switch.
@JadePhoenix I definitely agree with you there, I bet all of the current NSO apps will be on the Switch successor, I just don't want to have to buy the next console to keep using my save files when the current Switch e-shop goes down in 203x. I would prefer paying for the games individually as separate releases.
I just hope if the Pokémon games are added to NSO that they are also separately available for purchase so we don't lose them when either NSO goes down or if you stop subscribing.
@Tempestryke This Pokemon is specifically based off the one used by Jiseok Lee to win a Regional event. In VGC, the official double battle competitive format, Garganacl is usually used as a support Pokemon to slowly rack up passive damage with Salt Cure, and protect its partner with Wide Guard.
While these games are undoubtedly going to be compared to death against some stiff competition, I cannot get enough of this type of game and am excited to try them both!
