There’s no way to accurately predict what Nintendo will do, but the reasoning given here is pretty strange.
Nintendo in the past 10 years has NEVER lacked a June direct when there was no indication of the major first party games coming out August to December
The notion that Nintendo canceled its E3 appearance means that it had nothing to show at E3 is peculiar as Microsoft and Sony also canceled and they clearly still have something to show
Nintendo definitely has first party games releasing August to December!
Plus there was Miyamoto’s coy answer regarding future Mario games where he said “we have Directs every two to three months so look forward to those”
Nobody knows what Nintendo will actually do, since they’re strange. But it would be at least a 50 percent chance that we will get some sort of full direct this summer
