@XCWarrior generally, I share this opinion. When it's all said and done, dollars is what matters to companies.
But this week was a very poor week. And a shining example of why I have no faith in Nintendo's handling of the VC. I could rant,.. But at this point I don't think it's nessisary.
I've danced this dance with the Wii, and I'm seeing all the same moves with the U.
I will be downloading Mario kart 8 at launch and buying several copies of Smash, so there's that.

Re: Nintendo Quashes Rumours Of New Hardware At E3 2014

Laxiom

@peckpeck I listened to the whole podcast too. And he clearly stated, more than once, that new hardware could mean many things, and not specifically a big announcement. Example; should that yoshi patterned Wii mote get a release date in NA, it would qualify as new hardware.

@unrandomsam by entertainment, do you mean video games? Aside from raising a barn or fixing a car, entertainment is pretty much the only way you can bond with your child.
What I find sad is when parents use video games as baby sitters, but when that's the case there is no relationship building.

Re: Nintendo Download: 21st November (North America)

Downloading Mario 3D World, and grabbing Zelda at retail.
It's gunna be one of the least productive weekends in years. It's ok family, I'm sure that leaky roof will sort itself out.
There's no substitute for positive thinking!

Re: Review: Gyrostarr

Laxiom

so to sum up the review you can say "the same level over and over again but gets progressively harder."

can this be compared to Defend Your Castle? because i enjoy DYC alot. but im very dissapointed in SSR being a 5 minute game with one level. im not at all interested in high scores.

so what do you think Corbie? is this a buy for me?

Re: Microsoft Befuddled by WiiWare

Laxiom

im not a programmer so i can only speak as a consumer. id rather deal with fewer good games than more crap. and i dont really care whose making the games as long as there quality titles.

wasnt World of Goo made by 2 people? that got passed by nintendo, so im sure you will be considered by nintendo if you have a good product.
and if your not accepted, then theres always the net. theres plenty of space there for sub par devs to dump there name.

Re: WiiWare needs a storage solution NOW!

Laxiom

i have a 1g SD card, and i back up everything backupable, when Wii Ware released i bought FFCC, Defend your Castle, and Lost Winds, i also DL the Nintendo Channel.

now im left with less than a thousand blocks on my SD card.

i was shocked to say the least.

Re: LostWinds

Laxiom

if the 3 hours game length puts you off, let me remind you that most or all metroids can be beaten in 2 hours.

this game is beautifully crafted and worth the 1000 points. it sets the bar high for DL games IMO.

Re: Japan To Get Dracula X And Metal Slug Next Tuesday

Laxiom

it bothers me that Nintendo of japan gets 4 games (2 great games) in one week, while the rest of the world gets, for lack of a better word, scraps. i dont care that much about RoB, and i own the metal slug anthology. but the quality of that weeks releases could be compared to the US getting Perfect Dark and Chrono Trigger on the same week with a couple more games thrown in for good measure. I would love that level of weekly quality in the US, and im sure im not the only one. but i suppose ill just have to settle for scraps.
i believe there are road blocks due to lisencing and rating issues when it comes to EU and US VC releases that keep us from getting amazing releases.

Re: Nintendo Power Poll - What Games Do You Want To See?

Damo; is there anyway you could add the direct quote to the article, NP kinda made a few requirements.
