This game really is fantastic. And as much as I love Nintendo and appreciated the series on Wii, 3DS and Wii U I really do believe that the series needed to be tested on more powerful hardware for mainstream gamers to appreciate it as well. It really is a brilliant game and I'm glad it is seeing the success it deserves. Although, in saying that I'd happily pick up MHXX if Capcom would translate it, there's nothing quite like playing MH on the go.
Given the limited selection of launch games I picked this one up. It's a good game for fans and I'd rate it 7/10 although I'd recommend waiting for a price drop unless you are a fan of the series.
It's a great system and I can easily see it becoming one of my favourite of all time if Nintendo go about things the right way. I don't have time to sit in front of a tv and play like I used to so the portability is perfect for me. I would like to see a few things fixed or added such as: -Virtual Console (and I hope my purchases on Wii U/3DS get carried over or at least discounted) -Home Theme (love the 3DS home theme system) -EShop support (I would like to see constant updates and deals) -Streetpass/Miiverse (Nintendo could implement a similar app utilising the best of both of these) -Bring Back the IPs (Metroid, F-Zero, Earthbound/Mother, Golden Sun etc..) Well thats my 2 cents now back to BOTW
I downloaded this game on day 1 to give me my RPG fix. I agree with the score it's a good game but nothing exceptional. I would advise anyone thats keen to wait for a sale unless they like myself, want something else to play on the Switch.
