@BigRadical the problem is all of their patents were created after other games had the mechanics in game. This means they arent novel to pokemon and patent law cannot be enforced. Even the parent patent for pokeballs was submitted after the exact same mechanic had been in craftopia for a year. Nintendo are definitely in the wrong here legally and you should expect them to lose. Its not like Nintendo didn't steal the pokemon idea from dragon quest anyway. Nintendo are not a friendly company to either it customers or competition.

@RamRem a bad faith actor is one that sues for patent infringement when it holds no water. All the patents nintendo hold were created after palworlds release. Even the parent patents were created after the mechanics were already in games created by poketpair. This means the mechanics aren't novel and cant be patented. Nintendo is super scummy for this and its not even a debate. Expect them to lose this court case rather embarrassingly
