I am actually not that surprised, it really is a fun game with fun mechanics and i feel it is an unique game.
There is not one game that mimics this gameplay. I am more surprised that no other developer ever tried to make a game like this with the same or more complex mechanics.
My daughter was a fan when she was 8 or 9 and she is a fan now when she is 14.
At 8 or 9 years old it is family that are the Mii's, now the Mii's are Anime characters. For all ages it is just a cute easy fun to paly game.
