I'm not normally a fan of 3D, but have found it really impressive and engaging on the 3DS. Not only for 3D games (Zelda, Luigi, etc.), but even platformers and side scrolling (Cave Story, Yoshi, etc.). Because the resolution isn't great on this device, it is the 3D that gives it a unique and defining look. I put the slider as high as each game will handle it (some are just too blurry once it's beyond 2.5).
It is disappointing that Nintendo is not highlighting this feature for each of its new releases. Perhaps they're trying to push some people over to the Switch with this tactic.
Anyway, I think the 3DS is an ideal device, with an interactive touchscreen on the bottom for maps, gear, status, etc., and an immersive 3D screen on top for action. It's really special. There probably won't be anything else like it, so I'll enjoy it as long as there are fun games to play.
