Re: Nintendo Sets Its Sights On Switch Emulator Yuzu In New Lawsuit

@Dm9982 Nothing about that is illegal though, Yuzu isn't using anything Nintendo owns. They make you provide your own console keys and games that you dumped from your own console to use the emulator. They don't distribute keys, ROMs, etc. While people shouldn't, people take the easy road and find keys and ROMs on the internet, but that's not Yuzu's fault, you can easily mod a Switch and download those items from the Internet and transfer them to a modded Switch and play it that way. Eliminating Yuzu won't eliminate piracy.

@JakedaArbok Emulators aren't stealing anything, it's people who upload and download Switch ROMs that are aiding in piracy, that's not on emulator developers, that's on individuals. The people who leaked Tears of the Kingdom footage and spoilers could have easily done so on a modded Switch instead of Yuzu. Plus while they can't do much to enforce it, Yuzu takes steps in making sure the emulator is used legally, they have guides that help you legally dump your own console keys and games. Nobody on the Yuzu Discord helps anyone looking to pirate games.

Yuzu is a useful tool for people who want a better experience than what the Switch itself can offer. 4K 60fps is much better than 1080p/720p 30fps
