@JohnnyMind when something tries to be accessible to everyone it is rarely a masterpiece to anyone. Just look at Hollywood's last few years of box office bombs when they shifted their focus from letting artists make real art to forcing every studio to check off a long list of inclusive requirements instead. Things lose their aura dramatically when you soften their edges even if you think there's still something there for the people who want the challenge, the intentions might be pure but the understanding of the culture surrounding the scene is lacking. Not everyone wants to sit through 12 hours of the LotR Extended Edition before they know how good it is but it will always be remembered because it's worth the effort and actually respects your time. Nobody will remember or talk about Rings of Power which is what you get when you cater to the lower common denominator. Don't try to turn Silksong into Polyesterwhimper, let it be what it wants to be.
