Re: Nintendo's Share Value is Hit Hard by Stock Market Panic

@Grumblevolcano I'm pretty sure there were some in Awakening too, but I can't quite remeber. And honestly those two memes sound like they'd fit quite nicely in Fire Emblem. I don't mind the odd meme here and there in my Nintendo just as I don't mind shout outs to other things (Inigo saving Buttercup, Anna at one point mentions that sacred weapons belong in a museum, DLC featuring Roy and Ike is called Smash Brethren, etc.) It's when it goes out of its way just to shoehorn in the "dank me-mes" that I hate. And like I said Nintendo's been using memes for years, it's just that now memes are mainstream so people hate them now.

@DavidGX I saw that. ONE meme (albeit a somewhat poorly fitting, one I'll admit that) in my Zelda. Whole experience completely ruined.

In all seriousness we're a bit late on complaining about memes in Nintendo games, MASSIVE DAMAGE was used quite a bit in the 4th gen of Pokémon although that one actually fit quite well. One, maby two, memes is about right from what I remember, this one was just a particularly annoying one. Oh, well. Hopefully the reaction will make them consider memes which aren't so bad.

@AlexSora89 Government charges a small fortune to rate anything basically. And if there's anything they don't like you get to pay again after alterations. Shanta is fairly safe from that but the cost is still steep. And much like Germany video games are officially still considered children's toys, which is why it took so long to get an R rating. Of course that still means they sanctioned stuff like GTA as children's toys MA rating or not. Funnily enough region locking is outlawed here.

@sillygostly Don't have an iOS device so still shafted there but it did release on steam here. I refuse to get it because I wanted the series on Nintendo but still this release has a better chance seeing as they must have had it rated for steam.
And I had noticed a trickle of "new" releases, mainly Radio hammer, that I thought we might miss so it's looking up now.

@Spoony_Tech No no, it's good to see I'm not alone in that opinion. But yeah if it was that big of a deal bundling it together with Stranger's wrath on a physical release as a value pack would have been much better. The Wii U sure could have used some more little releases.

@Wolfgabe Well that sounds fairly promising at least, I might consider once I see what price they want. Though to be honest I'm more interested in Stranger's wrath.
