@Grumblevolcano I'm pretty sure there were some in Awakening too, but I can't quite remeber. And honestly those two memes sound like they'd fit quite nicely in Fire Emblem. I don't mind the odd meme here and there in my Nintendo just as I don't mind shout outs to other things (Inigo saving Buttercup, Anna at one point mentions that sacred weapons belong in a museum, DLC featuring Roy and Ike is called Smash Brethren, etc.) It's when it goes out of its way just to shoehorn in the "dank me-mes" that I hate. And like I said Nintendo's been using memes for years, it's just that now memes are mainstream so people hate them now.
@DavidGX I saw that. ONE meme (albeit a somewhat poorly fitting, one I'll admit that) in my Zelda. Whole experience completely ruined.
In all seriousness we're a bit late on complaining about memes in Nintendo games, MASSIVE DAMAGE was used quite a bit in the 4th gen of Pokémon although that one actually fit quite well. One, maby two, memes is about right from what I remember, this one was just a particularly annoying one. Oh, well. Hopefully the reaction will make them consider memes which aren't so bad.
@AlexSora89 Government charges a small fortune to rate anything basically. And if there's anything they don't like you get to pay again after alterations. Shanta is fairly safe from that but the cost is still steep. And much like Germany video games are officially still considered children's toys, which is why it took so long to get an R rating. Of course that still means they sanctioned stuff like GTA as children's toys MA rating or not. Funnily enough region locking is outlawed here.
@sillygostly Don't have an iOS device so still shafted there but it did release on steam here. I refuse to get it because I wanted the series on Nintendo but still this release has a better chance seeing as they must have had it rated for steam. And I had noticed a trickle of "new" releases, mainly Radio hammer, that I thought we might miss so it's looking up now.
I'd love to get this one, but it probably won't come to Australia. Great how the government decided region locking is anti-consumerist but stupidly expensive ratings fees that choke out niche titles aren't.
@Captain_Toad I was about to say this looked like a Unity asset game from Steam Green light. And I heard a rumor somewhere that Nintendo wanted to make the NX early access compatible.
@Spoony_Tech No no, it's good to see I'm not alone in that opinion. But yeah if it was that big of a deal bundling it together with Stranger's wrath on a physical release as a value pack would have been much better. The Wii U sure could have used some more little releases.
@Wolfgabe Well that sounds fairly promising at least, I might consider once I see what price they want. Though to be honest I'm more interested in Stranger's wrath.
I still think that trying to make it fit on the 8GB model was a stupid idea seeing as we can just plug in a memory stick if need be. They don't even sell those models anymore! If it results in downgraded graphics compared to what it could have been I"ll pass.

Meh, the stock markets merely an advanced form of globally solicited gambling. You win some you lose some.
Also @DavidGX meme spree?

As long as it comes to Australia. We never got the DSi version which I'm still upset about.
Re: Final Fantasy Explorers Producer Explains What Inspired its Design
I was hoping this would be something of a successor to the Crystal Chronicles series.
Re: Slain! Wii U Release Date Has Been Delayed to Summer
@shaneoh I hope so too. The release of Radiohammer has renewed my belief that we might actually get more eshop games.
Re: SEGA 3D Classics Collection is Heading to Retail in the Americas on 26th April
I had been meaning to get some 3D Classics but I might wait and see if this reaches Australia at a reasonable price. I can only hope...

Re: The Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty Wii U Port is Nearing Completion
@faint Because of course it was. Oh, well they're probably not coming to Australia anyway.
