@MarcelRguez Amiibo Festival? well that's an entirely different thing than Federation Force. It was well Animal Crossing combined with Mario Party. They were better off giving us a main entry Animal Crossing with amiibo functionality. I'd buy AC amiibo like crazy if I had the money, it'd make it easier to get my fave villagers and maybe some amiibo could trigger events. Also could you imagine what towns would be like on Wii U, they'd be just gorgeous. I think they should make one for NX with the happy home academy features and then some
@MarcelRguez I can understand that exploration tends to be a major factor for me these. Take that away and I'll get bored, might be why I got bored with SM3DL after 4 worlds, worst I forced myself to finish it since I paid for it with my own money. There were times I opened the game and closed it without playing a single level
@HeroOfTime32 I dunno if being a shooter shouldn't affect it. I mean Monster Hunter Generations is also 4 player co-op. I think since it has a lock on feature screen real estate wouldn't be an issue.
@HeroOfTime32 I hope you're right, I've never gotten into metroid and want to try it. I don't know why they're keeping that aspect of Federation Force a mystery. I feel like they'd get less hate if they'd tell us something, there was not much context in that little trailer. I did notice the alien soldiers and ships but that's it I don't know if they're important.
@HeroOfTime32 Well then can you tell me the game's story Nintendo doesn't seem to want to, that's the only thing holding me back. All I know is you and some friends play as some faceless nameless federation soldiers(or robots) and fight aliens. I have seen no sign of a plot besides go do missions. This game has been nothing but confusion right out the gate. "The Universe isn't at peace" who's responsible for that, is this a story about the federation?
@Grandpa_Pixel they aren't trying anything new. Co-op games have been around for a long time. They've just advertised the game poorly as usual. All they've done is talk about the 4 player mechanic and blast ball, think of it like only being able to sample the icing on a cake but not the cake itself. Like who is main villain threatening the piece of space, is there even one? Why are we playing as federation robots, is something happening to the federation? If Nintendo wants to sell this game fine just tell us about the game itself not just mechanics implemented for this spin off in the series. The other complaint about the chibification of the characters well, it's most likely because other 3ds games were capable of working with full bodied character models so Nintendo's excuse doesn't work.

@MarcelRguez I'm not sure if I need it to be linear, i just need to know what it's about. I don't buy games if I don't know what it's about
