This is why I don't even bother to get excited about special editions and items anymore. I'm the biggest Metroid fan there is. I mastered the original on the NES when it first came out. I completed every sequel as they came out. I hated Other M long before anyone else did. The mere suggestion of a new Metroid game gets my blood pumping. But mere mortals like me don't get special editions or Amiibos. We just get to buy the regular downloadable version of the game and count ourselves lucky for it.
