@YagaMaki i did acknowledge this is a great marketing strategy. There are other sites devoted to spotting game sales. Nintendolife.com only does random spot articles every now and again. I don't need a full on review, but they don't even have screenshots for two of these games. I come to this site for news on upcoming games, news on actual dlc content (not sales on them), and reviews of games. If I want sales I can find them elsewhere in a format that doesn't feel like a targeted add. The fact that we don't see an article every time any game goes on sales says there is a reason these ones get an article. I'd like to know more as to what makes these worth paying attention vs. the rest of the shovelware sold with a gimicky marketing premis. Which is why a review or even any information whatsoever about them on the site now advertising them would be appreciated.
@Markiemania95 If I wanted to go on google. I'd go on Google and I wouldn't come here in the first place, but that usually leads me to a review site with reviews I don't value as much as those from Nintendolife.com. Also this type of freebie is a great marketing strategy since anyone will be more likely to feed into a purchase with the free offer and fear of missing out on it. It seems like this article feeds into that marketing strategy without providing any additional information I would want as a consumer.
@alpacatears I always do this. For this article if you click on either Motorush GT or S.N.I.P.E.R. neither include any real information that would be relevant to whether I would want to buy these or not. So Google is then my only option for further information.
Long time reader of Nintendolife articles, but I just created a username to ask this: can we please stop posting about free products and sales without first putting up a review or at least some screenshots? If it wasn't worth reviewing why is it worth announcing freebies for?
