I played my first game for around 200 hours. Finally made my way to the castle. The second I made it inside I put the game down and didn’t play again for a couple years. Recently started a new game and I’m sticking a little closer to the story this time. I am pretty sure I’ll finish on this save.
@solidox pretty much everyone I know who has a switch has had to get their joycons repaired, or buy new ones. I’ve been playing for decades and never experienced it with any other controller. I think it’s a huge issue and really terrible that nintendo hasn’t fixed it. My two cents
I love the people equating liking nudity in video games with “adult” or “maturity”. “Some of us are just mature enough to be comfortable with the human form” lol. I have no issue with it (especially in the case of Bayonetta where I feel it is actually done somewhat artfully) but let’s not pretend it’s some mark of maturity, and neither is it a human form. Gamers are hilarious though
Haven’t played the remaster but played the first game recently. I don’t really agree that you’d need to have nostalgia to enjoy it. I thought it was a really pretty and extremely unique platformer. Does it show its age and have difficulties associated with that? Yes. But still very worth playing for those who can accept such things
@Max_the_German because no one on gods green earth needs as much money in a lifetime as kotick makes in a year or two, and for him to accept it while so many Americans including those working for his own company are struggling to make ends meet (or even to have basic needs like food and housing) is morally repugnant. The ratio of ceos pay compared their employees has become 100s of times more inequitable than it was a few years ago. The richest people in America wield incredible political power and use it to retain their wealth at a direct cost to the rest of us
@RubyCarbuncle the difference being here, if I’m not mistaken, is that you can’t redownload your games if your current console dies. If the store is completely offline (not happening with 3ds or Wii U at this juncture) your purchases are no longer available to you unless you already have them downloaded on a console
I seem to be far in the minority in this, but I could never get past the “1000 year old dragon” character that genuinely looks like a ten year old girl wearing a sexualized s&m outfit, and the fact that you can pair that character up to marry and procreate. Like . . . No game is good enough for me to ignore that, and I genuinely don’t understand why the wide majority of the gaming world doesn’t even see it as worth mentioning. I understand three houses doesn’t have any of this type of thing so I plan to play that one at some point. I love tactics games and love advance wars so I really wanted to love Awakening but I just couldn’t get past this.
@SwitchForce I don’t think these are all correct. I don’t believe it requires constant internet and it does indeed have tv output, it just doesn’t come with a dock
@FishyS for me it’s appealing because I am attached to Mac ecosystem for my laptop. I don’t want to have a whole other laptop for gaming so steam deck is appealing for me. If it were easier for me to switch to another laptop I’d just do that though
I don’t know what they could add to entice me. I want to buy my games and then own them. Even Sin and Punishment, a game I very much want to play that’s unavailable anywhere else isn’t enough. I just really don’t like the idea of my games disappearing once I decide not to keep paying the fee, or when Nintendo eventually decides to end the service
I can all but guarantee that this has nothing to do with the word “pandemic” or the theme of the game. And for those saying this is due to people being too woke . . . What? Since when is it not woke to talk about or acknowledge the existence of a pandemic. Unless I’m mistaken the woke people weren’t the ones saying it was nothing more than a common cold
I’m a huge Nintendo fan but I didn’t subscribe to the expansion pack thing because it’s too expensive and the emulation didn’t seem great. The online is cool. Wish they were just selling these games $5 each with online features included
Still so weird and disturbing to me that the concept of sexualized underage girl characters is so prominent and widely accepted in anime. I was blown away that a character in Fire Emblem Awakening (a game I otherwise loved but stopped playing for this reason) was essentially a 10 year old girl wearing some kind of s&m outfit. So strange to me that this was not mentioned in any reviews of that widely acclaimed and Nintendo-published game
I’ve actually bought a bunch of 3ds stuff physical and digital over the last year. There’s a treasure trove of eshop only releases that will disappear whenever they eventually close the store. I just hope you can still redownload your purchases if you need to get a new console

@WhiteUmbrella huh?
Re: Talking Point: So, Who Could Play Link, Zelda, Ganondorf In The Upcoming Zelda Movie?
Y’all actually want Timothy chalamet?? I’m chagrined. Both him and Tom holland would be absurd. I think dev Patel is a decent choice
Re: Video: The Future Of Gaming Is Joy-Con Drift-Free
@solidox I wouldn’t expect a recall necessarily I just think they should make new joycons that work properly 😂

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series
@Mr_Fox have you played it? It gets quite challenging at points. Not at all on the same level as a Kirby game

@brandonbwii
Yes but adding money to your account with credit cards ends this may, aka in like 2 months. Also, same on the dragon quest!
