Am I the only one who dislikes the HD-2D style? It is so jarring to see these beautiful environments, only to have pixelated sprites moving around. Either make it all 2D, all 3D, or all pixel art, but mixing them is not appealing at all.
How about instead of these SP titles, try and get the titles that are glaringly missing from the selection, like Terranigma, Chrono Trigger, Super Smash TV, Alien vs Predator, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Super Mario RPG, etc. sighs I know Chrono Trigger is highly unlikely since it is still being sold, but this collection just doesn't feel complete.
Eh, I absolutely love the DS game, but this is one of those games that I felt didn't need a sequel. Sometimes, it's best to just leave it alone and let it be an awesome stand-alone game. I do want to try this out, but I'm skeptical. Once I get through my backlog of games and I have some extra money, I might pick it up.
This only adds to my convictions that gameplay is significantly more important than graphics. That's why indie retro games are so popular. If a game looks great, but plays like a sloth in molasses, why bother? As long as I can tell what is happening on the screen, if it's fun, who cares what it looks like? Besides, it's DooM, and DooM runs on everything.
@Olddantrucker I can understand that. I had Dynasty Warriors for the PSP and I really didn't like it. However, I picked up Hyrule Warriors anyway and actually enjoyed it. It is frantic and action-packed, and you have to plan your attack, because there are multiple objectives on the field and you have to pay attention to them all. I had a blast playing through it and will be picking up this new one.
@theiRiS You should pick up Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition. It's a really fun, action-packed game and will give you an idea of how Age of Calamity will play.
@matdub That's your preference. I've found many games that are definitely worth playing that are free. League of Legends is a great free-to-play game. Path of Exile is another example. Heroes of the Storm too. These are just a few examples of a large list of great free games.
This game, however, is probably not something I'll keep going with. It's decent, but nothing spectacular.
Honestly, the game looks like they used Breath of the Wild as a foundation, then tore Hyrule down and built their own world. The game does look fun and since it is free to play, I'll give it a try.

Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Difficulty Settings Revealed By Nintendo
@batmanbud2 Kirby games are notoriously easy games. It is more difficult to lose at a Kirby game than it is to beat it.

Thanks, GameFreak, for locking this behind a paywall.
Re: Random: Popular Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Glitch Can Get You 10,000 Arrows In Minutes
Glitches tend to ruin the experience if they occur during your first playthrough. After that, glitches make the game more fun!

Re: Review: DOOM Eternal - This 'Impossible' Port Is Nothing Short Of A Miracle
@HotGoomba___Rebrand Stadia is such a joke. I can't even play SteamWorld games without lag and I has a solid Internet connection.
