@Banjo- For sure some people here can be a bit overzealous in their defense of Nintendo. I think emulators are great, but I think it's fair to admit that they are controversial, because the majority of people don't use them as intended. To pretend otherwise is just disingenuous. The answer obviously isn't to ban emulators, but on the other hand you can't blame Nintendo for getting in their feelings when it comes to non first party emulators. In any case hopefully dolphin sticks around, they probably shouldn't have risked going on steam in the first place.
@Banjo- I don't think people on this site hate people that use emulators I think they're just pointing that for every one Banjo who does things the right way there are 9 to 99 other people that use emulators exclusively for piracy. It's these people that give emulation a bad reputation.
@Stocksy Well that's debatable, but who knows maybe I have. True if some corporation really wants to fire they can probably always find some reason. However you have to agree that revealing confidential information (even if it isn"t particularly important information) is a lot more serious than arriving 5 minutes late. At the end of the day punishment isn't just meant to punish you, but also deter others from doing the same. Nintendo wants to put an end to leaks and it just so happens that poor Mike paid the price.
@Stocksy I mean I'm not happy the guy got fired like some apparently, but this is reality. I'm not sure how you can conclude that people understanding basic contractual obligations have never had a job or live in the real world. At least I can say I've never broken the terms of my employment lol
@SonOfDracula Well you literally said that trolls only deserve a no or emojis and you just replied to me with emojis, so what am I to think lol. In any case I wasn't trolling you. Like I said they should be credited in the remaster, because it's the decent thing to do. I just didn't think the ramifications of them not getting credited are as serious as you made out.
@SonOfDracula
So I'm a troll haha I don't think I said anything wrong. Seems like you're top troll here
I just questioned the notion that someone would actually need to put a screenhot of a credits screen in their CV. I see you don't actually work in game development btw.
@SonOfDracula I mean it sounds odd but ok if you say this is common practice in the video game industry I'll take your word for it. The point still stands that they can just get a screenshot from the OG game then, even if they should be credited on the remaster too.
@SonOfDracula I 100% agree that the original staff should be credited on the remaster as well. However the job opportunity argument doesn't make any sense to me. Working on the original game will always be in your CV you don't need to provide screenshots of a credit sequence when applying for a job.
