As the self-appointed king of Pokémon Red and Blue, I toured the UK in 1999 and 2000, sat on a golden throne, and challenged 1000s of players to a battle. I was editor of Nintendo Official Magazine at the time. But that was only an excuse to unleash my Pokémon prowess and make children cry.
