@Nic-Noc20th-C agreed. I believe people are eating it poorly solely because of the companies splitting/them keeping the title of the American version.
Truly, the split was mutual, so idc about that. Natsume is a tiny company compared to XSeed/marvelous and I think it's amazing they've accomplished a game like One World.
@UltimateOtaku91 in reply to your initial comment-- I was planning on buying both. While I felt past Harvest Moon games (those exclusively made by Natsume) have been faulted/disappointing, One World is very fun! They also have DLC to expand on the game currently. I am in a fb group with about 200 other people who bought it and thus far everyone has enjoyed it. I'd say it depends on her play style though. One World feels like Harvest moon meets Pokemon or some adventure style game. The map is very expansive and you have tasks to do for people in every town. So, it has a slightly different feel. However, you still farm, have relationships, have animals--can even have wild animals as pets, travel, have harvest wisps (like Harvest Sprites), etc. There is a lotttt of dialogue, especially initially, but it can be sped up or skipped.
I suggest giving it a try if she also likes adventure style games in addition to farming games.
