We hope you've made it through Gothic Classic on Switch because the sequel is coming to the console very soon.
THQ Nordic has today revealed that Gothic II Complete Classic — a port of the sequel to the cult-classic PC RPG — will be launching on the Switch on 29th November 2023. This release will also include the Night of the Raven expansion, which adds an entirely new region to the game, new weapons, skills, enemies, and quests.
Developed by German studio Piranha Bytes, you play as the Nameless Hero, weeks after the end of the first game, where more evil is brewing in Khorinis. More people need your help as you explore the world in search of the Eye of Innos, which will help you save the world.
The sequel improved on multiple aspects introduced in the first game, and in 2003, was nominated for a number of 'Best RPG' awards when it came out.
Gothic II Complete Classic launches on the Switch on 29th November 2023 for USD 29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99. A physical edition is available exclusively on the THQ Nordic store.

I'm very tempted to bundle I & II together in an import order, but I think my money would be better spent elsewhere.
Gothic II is one of the best game I've played.
When they released the expansions they have made it in a great way; the expansion is integrated in the main game so you had to replay it but with the new content they update many quest with new way of completing them, that way a second playtrought was more enjoyable.
So tempted. I might have to order the physical copy for Gothic 2, despite Gothic 1 still being in my backlog.
One of the greatest RPGs ever made. This was very popular in Germany when it released and is a major influence on the Witcher series. I wonder why this game is so little known outside of Germany.
I'm tempted but I'm put off by the name THQ Nordic who I associate with poorly performing ports.
I'll wait for some kind of review to see the situation with bugs/performance. Otherwise this is a must buy for me at some point.
One of the best games ever made. Instantly bought the physical version.
Might hold out for gothic 3 and get all 3 in one fell swoop!
