This was left field for me but the less old systems I have to dig out, the better. I don't remember beating this one anyway.
Nice that this port got announced, but surprised another new RF game is coming already with RFV’s host of problems/negative reception, but the sales were good for a RF game so that is what matters in the end.
Guess this will have to do to make up for 5's terrible performance on Switch. >.>
Also, new RF series? Wut?
Curious decision to add to the announcement that a new entry is on the way... wouldn't a lot of people mildly interested just opt to wait for that instead?
I mean I guess the transparency is welcomed from a consumer standpoint. Most companies often pull the 'if you want the next or other one, you gotta show us support with this one in terms of our own hidden arbitrary sales expectations' scummy tactic.
... Wun can only hope.
This was easily my favorite part of the whole show. Rune Factory 3 is one of my absolute favorite games of all time, and getting it on Switch running on the same engine as Rune Factory 4 Special with all the same style of extra content is straight up godsend for me. Incredibly hyped and looking forward to getting this and hyping it up for anyone who might be even that slight bit interested in it.
@wuntyme8 They did the same thing with 4 Special and 5 I believe, so it’s normal for them.
Kinda surprised that they're starting from the third one instead of adding improvements and remastering the first one in the series unless there's something about RF3 that makes it the highlight of the series.
I'm glad this one is coming, I enjoy the earlier Rune Factory than those newer ones. Hopefully we get Rune Factory Frontier soon too.
For those who haven’t played it, RF3 is excellent. If you’re a fan of RF4, it’s a must-play.
@syrupdash That's kind of the point, the first two games have aged really badly, so would require far more effort to remake than just a RF3 special edition.
I'll probably get this one as we know RF3 original was quality
IDK, I may have to play this since I barely touched 5 and it's 15fps slideshow. Shame it seemed like a great game, but I just can't get myself to play it.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Amazing news!!
Not bad, but my most wanted remaster in this series is by far, Rune Factory Frontier...just remove/fix the runey system and they would be set.
@syrupdash More that they are working backwards since they also did 4 special.
Super excited about this, got a ways through it on DS and it'll be nice on a larger screen for sure.
@syrupdash They aren't starting with the third one. They started with the fourth one.
