Nintendo last week surprised Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers with the announcement of Pokémon Puzzle League, but we're now at a point where we don't know what's coming next. Even Japan's line up has now been completed with the release of the first two Custom Robo games.
This has also got some fans wondering how much longer Nintendo will continue to support the N64 Expansion Pack library. Fortunately, there's no need to panic. The company today issued a message (via social media) - reassuring fans it will continue to deliver N64 games. Phew!
@NintendoAmerica - More #Nintendo64 games will be added to #NintendoSwitchOnline + Expansion Pack. Stay tuned!
So, there you have it - expect more N64 games in the future. At the pace Nintendo is currently releasing Nintendo 64 games at, we can probably expect to see at least one game added to the N64 library per month. There could also continue to be regional variants in the future. A bit like this week's lot of releases.
What games would you like to see added to the service in the near future? Do you have any top picks? Leave a comment below.

At first I was afraid… I was petrified.
But now I can sleep easy again. Thanks, Nintendolife!
Edit: would like to play jet force gemini for a couple of hours with friends again though.
Put the original Resident Evil 2 that released on N64 back in the day on N64 Switch online
people keep clamoring for mainstays like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Bomberman... but not me.
I want the jank, the wonky, and the weird. gimme Quest 64, Beetle Adventure Racing, Buck Bumble, Chameleon Twist. the games that gamers of a certain age were stuck with on rental night, or that our guardians pulled out of the discount bins for us. that's the N64 experience I remember ❤
Jet Force Gemini and Conkers Bad Fur Day would be most welcome, hopefully with BK being there those could happen.
@CharlieGirl Had alot of good times playing Buck Bumble as a kid, pretty underated.
The buck bumble multiplayer soccer game was great!
Also would kill for Hydro Thunder. Online multiplayer for both please.
Blast Corps, Smash, and DK64.
Realistically, probably: Wave Race, 1080, Banjo-Tooie, Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Super Smash Bros. (maybe with online?). Not certain about the Mario Party games after they were recently remade and mashed together in Mario Party Superstars. My dreams are ones are Pokémon Stadium releasing as a tie-in with Pokémon on the Gameboy for Switch and Animal Forest (even if it was just on the Japanese version).
Banjo-Tooie, DK64, Bomberman 64, Bomberman Hero.
Those are the games I'm most hoping for.
tbh, I mostly want something which isn't N64. For now I'll continue with basic NSO.
Donkey Kong 64 is the only one left that I really, really want. It gets a lot of flack, but I don't understand it. It is one of my favorite collectathons to this day!
Bomberman Hero, Super Smash Bros., Banjo-Tooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Donkey Kong 64.
Those would make my day. Then again, I already got them on the original N64, save for Excitebike 64.
Don't really care about GoldenEye 007, if we get it fine, if not fine also. Also got it on original N64.
EDIT
@WreckitRyan It is because you have to get everything on each world 5 times for the 100% completion. Granted it can be tedious at times, but it's nowhere near as tedious as the first Yooka-Laylee.
Last year, I played DK64 to 100% completion thrice in different versions around the same time: Wii U Virtual Console, N64 version, Japanese N64 version. Also played Banjo-Tooie once and Banjo-Kazooie twice: N64 version and Japanese N64 version, currently on 2 more playthroughs on BK: NSO version, Japanese NSO version.
So, I should know how tedious a collectathon can be, but Yooka-Laylee I never bothered finishing.
Ogre Battle 64 pleeeeeaase
I really like Tetrisphere, and maybe Wave Race, Cruis 'N USA, the Bombermans, Hydro Thunder, Mortal Kombat 4, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Diddy Kong Racing, Ridge Racer 64, San Francisco Rush & 2049, Pilotwings 64, and Smash Bros. but I really wish they would have random matchmaking, it would make these so much better.
Nintendo is likely aware of the competitive scene behind Smash 64 to potentially want to capitalize on it in the future.
Diddy Kong Racing
Hercules - The Legendary Journeys and Xena Warrior Princess for N64 should be next.
Never thought for a minute they would stop after Puzzle League, but nice for the reassurance.
Mischief makers, wave race, diddy kong racing, donkey kong 64, banjo tooie, snowboarding kids. Please make this happen nintendo
Conkers bad fur day
Banjo Kazooie 2
Perfect dark
Donkey kong 64
Castlevania 64
Mischef makers

@Nintendo_Thumb Because Midway doesn't exist anymore, I don't think we'll see Hydro Thunder, the SF Rush series, and the Mortal Kombat games on NSO. Mortal Kombat games were never offered for Virtual Console either so I don't think they'll make it to NSO as well. Ed Boon had said multiple times that he doesn't like a single home version of any of the Mortal Kombat games and doesn't not want to see any of those get re-released for any service or digital shop, if there are some consideration to get re-release then it'll had to be the arcade versions or remakes of MK5-8 but it can't be the home versions.
This is why whenever the classic MK games got re-release it's always the arcade ones that got ported and never the home versions (MK: Arcade Kollection for PS3 and Xbox 360, the bonus game for MK Deception and Armageddon, the Midway Arcade Treasures Collection, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat for Nintendo DS, etc.) this also means Mortal Kombat Trilogy will forever be lay in dormant as that game is purely a home exclusive and was broken beyond comprehension, it's a fun interesting game, just not as balanced or unique. The only way Hydro Thunder and SF Rush series could ever be re-released is if any of the indie devs like Saber Interactive, NightDive Studio, LizardCube, or Blind Squirrel got the rights to remastered and release em.
Seeing as it is a classic and next month marks the game’s anniversary Goldeneye has to be next month’s release. I hope the recent rumours aren’t true - as I think it is a silly reason and we shouldn’t be connecting two completely unrelated things and I think you can get around it by altering the text to call them Janus Group all the time.
Other than that, Wave Race would be welcome and ISS Soccer.
I’d love a WWF No Mercy, heck I would take that game without the license attached just the game modes and gameplay.
I'm surprised anyone cares. 90% of these games suck, same with NES. Maybe if you were a kid back when these consoles were the pinnacle of technology you can trick yourself into believing the games are still good with that deceitful chemical called nostalgia but even $2 indie games blow most of this crap out of the water and I'm surprised I don't see people stating this obvious fact more often. Am I just a turd in the punch bowl?
Something more niche... Body Harvest? Silicon Valley?... Blast Corps?
Any of those!
Or the obvious - Diddy Kong racing
Or - Def Jam Vendetta!!
Donkey Kong 64
Diddy Kong Racing
Lego Racers
Pokémon Stadium
Pokémon Stadium 2
Wave Race
Banjo Tooie
Thanks 🙏
@WreckitRyan now that and Diddy Kong Racing would be the only reasons I would buy the expansion pack. DK64 was a blast to play, loved every single character.
Wave Race and 1080, that’s all I want… and widescreen support. The 4:3 aspect ratio ain’t cutting it for me
I think what I most want is Harvest Moon 64 but that probably has a lot of rights issues surrounding it.
@CharlieGirl hey I’m down for quest 64!
(Along with those other games and ogre battle.)
Goemon Starring Mystical Ninja and Pilotwings 64 would be nice and might sway me to subscribe.
Banjo-Tooie and Buck Bumble!
@anoyonmus Yes!!!
@CharlieGirl Ah, Chameleon Twist. I remember playing that on my cousin's N64 and finishing it in a day. Bad value considering its price at the time, but the multiplayer redeemed it... a bit.
WWF No Mercy. But sadly I don’t think it’ll ever come.
@CJD87 good choice but Def Jam Vendetta was gamecube title
The Mario Parties ...All three, or just the third one at LEAST.
P. L. E. A. S. E.
Wave Race is at the top of my list here. Chopper Attack would be okay too, I guess.
As for impossible releases, StarCraft 64, Resident Evil 2, Mega Man Legends, and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron would be great. A localized Custom Robo would be nice too.
My top picks would be Mischief Makers, Bomberman 64, Star Wars SotE, Rouge Squadron, Battle for Naboo 1080, Waverace and the rest of the RARE N64 games.
Nah, N64 have aged surprisingly poorly.
2D games on the other had are still very enjoyable, even good old Gameboy ones… so you know what I want… give me my Gb and gba games already.
CASTLEVANIA 64 would be awesome!
I know it’s been critically panned but it’s actually one of my favorite early 3D action games.
Still many to add, Pokemon Stadium 1 + 2, Mystical Ninja starring Goemon, Bomberman 64 and Hero would be awesome!
This slow trickle feed is lame. At least give us some good games like 1080, WaveRace, and ExciteBike 64.
Hopefully the Goemon games are in the cards.
@Dpishere Oh man! That game haha that was greaaaaaat. Looking back at it, man that draw distance haha
Wave Race 64 and Pilot Wings 64 would be nice.
@CharlieGirl It was going to be released. But because we’re sooooo afraid of offending russia we won’t release Advance wars and goldeneye.
Pfew, would like to see GoldenEye….. but hey….. I wan’t me some Robotron 64!
At a minimum, the Switch should be emulating classics the Wii and Wii U could handle. Somehow we've gone backwards in terms of expanding their classics library
One of my favorites, Mischief Makers is what I want most, along with all the cool , odd games I never played much of, if at all (Rayman 2, Rocket: Robot on Wheels, Space Station Silicon Valley, Bomber 64: 2nd Attack, Beetle Adventure Racing, Blast Corps etc).
@Doomcrow Feel like that one's pretty much impossible without a full-on modernized remake. Even if you get past all of the rights issues with the roster it's got Chris Benoit in it. ... Same issue for WCW / nWo Revenge. Shame since they're two of the best wrestling games ever.
they could, I mean should add some filters too, preferably a CRT filter which is missing in the settings
Not convinced this is to reasure fans more to promote their service. You make it sound like everyone at Nintendolife has anxiety over spending 2 quid a month.
My top games I hope for (in no order):
1) Mischief Makers
2) Bomberman 64
3) Iggy's Recking Ball
4) DK 64
5) Diddy Kong Racing
6) Conkers Bad Fur Day
7) Dark Rift
8) Pokemon Stadium
9) Mario Party Series
10)Clay Fighters
Give me Wave Rave 64 you cowards!
And ISS64, Space Station Silicon Valley, Fighters Destiny, 1080, Mystical Ninja, Beetle Adventure Racing, Pilot Wings 64, Snowboard Kids, New Tetris and some Rare classics pleeeease.
I want conkers bad fur day, toy story 2,and Rayman 2 the great escape.
@CJD87 silicone valley! I’d forgotten that one, loved it! Weird sheep stuff if I recall…..and yes indeed ti DKR!
Automobili Lamborghini for me. Nobody ever mentions it much but that’s my main childhood there.
Diddy Kong racing was my first game on that system and I loved it! I liked the elephant and the accent was some I then you would hear in England , that Anglo-Indian accent, I always liked it. That said, I believe it got changed for a reissue ? A claim it was offensive as I recall. I wonder if anyone had more detail here, I’d particularly like to hear the opinions of any Indian readers, as I’m white it’s not for me to say it’s offensive or not. For me it was an accent I heard growing up and had good associations with and it was refreshing to hear it in a video game.
@WreckitRyan
The game can be tedious and overwhelming at times, but it has so much stuff to do and personality and is just a very fun game overall.
I loved it as a kid and still do.
I also think that at some point it became the cool thing to do to hate on it, I don't know...
The first Yooka Laylee has that problem. Just try posting an article or something about that game and just watch the people come crawling out of their holes, to then start acting like it's the worst game ever and it murdered their moms or something XD
I'm pretty basic. I just want, like...Smash, Mario Party, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Tooie...Not sure if there's really any other N64 games I need.
Diddy Kong Racing is the one that would get me to upgrade
I didn't really think they would stop putting games on it. They put a couple of games that weren't announced at the beginning on the service even before they gave us all of the announced ones.
Not super enthusiastic about more N64 games, most of what I'd want is already there. I'm waiting for more systems. We need GB, GBC, GBA, and GC on here to justify the absurd price point of the expansion pack, get on at least the first two.
The two Mystical Ninja games
Any THQ Wrestling game
Ogre Battle 64
Silicon Valley
Harvest Moon 64
Blast Corps
Body Harvest
Snowboard Kids
Wave Race and Donkey Kong 64 were both on the Wii U shop so you'd think they'll likely come at some point.
Fingers crossed we get some more Rare games... Banjo Tooie, Diddy Kong Racing, GoldenEye and Perfect Dark are all essential N64 games.
Then there's plenty of others to come too... 1080 Snowboarding, Ogre Battle, Mischief Makers, Top Gear Rally, Blast Corps.
Not sure if Turok or Doom will come since they're available to buy individually? Although, the Mega Drive does have games that are sold individually too (and in paid collections!).
Clearly plenty of options. Frustrating that Nintendo is unprepared to share a release schedule with us. I guess it's reasonable to expect them to maintain 1 a month?
@CharlieGirl Yeah, sure I get you want to play the quirky games just because they’re quirky - but going back to them now you’ll see they actually aren’t that enjoyable to play games despite them being quirky. Many just don’t hold up any more and several didn’t hold up as being enjoyable in the 90s either when they were new.
For me I'd love to have Beetle Adventure Racing, Silicon Valley, Conkers Bad Fur Day and Clayfighters, the last I know it wasn't great but never got to play it. Snowboard Kids 2 would be awesome!
@Stocksy You're totally right, I actually had this on PS2 and must have confused myself... thanks for straightening me out ha!
I'll swap it out then for the almighty WCW/nWo Revenge - which I believe had same devs as DJ Vendetta
Rat attack, turok rage wars, gauntlet, star wars episode one pod racer, banjo tooie. Lol Mickey's speedway USA. Not sure how they could make it work but "hey you Pikachu". Diddy kong racing, silicon valley.
My Pikachu was a brat and never listened mostly lol. Still was fun exploring and finding things outside, the treasure hunt part of it. And random pokemon he'd meet.
Hybrid Heaven. Jet Force Gemini. World Driver Championship. Mischief Makers.
Resident Evil 2, Goldeneye 007, Quake II, Perfect Dark
Pilot wings and Wave Race please. Though I hope they do what they’ve done with the SNES releases and give us more offbeat stuff, as the N64 has plenty that’s worthwhile.
Rocket
Spacestation Silicon Valley
Mischief Makers
Glover
The Mystical Ninja games
Chameleon Twist
Automobile Lamborghini
Ridge Racer 64
Excitebike 64
Snowboard kids
That kind of thing
@anoyonmus Hell yes.. it had bonuses and even notes in the environment that weren't in other versions of it
@SpaceboyScreams Not the only turd. But I mean people have to at least trick themselves into believing that RENTING these old games is worth the steep price tag for whatever reason when they can be emulated (with mods/graphical enhancements if wanted) on just about any phone (makes them even MORE portable than a Switch since you won't need to be connected to NSO+ premium plus) made in the last 5 years or computer in the last 20.
Waverace, Diddy kong racing and donkey kong 64. These 3 games and my life would be perfect.
@SapphireBlaze All games that originally had MP on N64 work with online multiplayer
@HammerGalladeBro Now go for 101%
JET FORCE GEMINI!!!!!! One of the very best N64 games! Super polished for that era and the very best TPS on the console!
Skies of Arcadia
Shenmue
Crazy Taxi
Chu Chu Rocket please
...hang on...
Pilotwings please.
Would really like to see Rocket: Robot on Wheels as I never heard of it until NitroRad and Antdude.
Putting my nostalgia goggles on, taking me back to the 90s as a kid I'd like to see NSO add:
Goldeneye
Tetrisphere
Diddy Kong Racing
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Pokemon Stadium 1/2 (love the minigames!)
Snowboard Kids
Top Gear Overdrive
Mario Party (1 of the 3) - but doubtful after MP Superstars release
Rugrats in Paris
Mischief Makers please and thnx
Wave Race is a game that I would literally and unironically play in heavy rotation if Nintendo gave it to us. It would even work fine with their disgusting joycon button mapping since it's essentially a one-button game for the most part. And the game really is timeless - despite the 10-polygon character models it's still the best-playing water racing game I've ever experienced.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand we're back in the dark again.
I honestly really liked the pseudo roadmap we got in the September 2021 Direct when it came to N64 games so I was kind of hoping we'd get something similar once the initial batch was done and dusted. Oh well, Mario Party or Smash Bros please and thank you.
Just give us:
@CharlieGirl
Beetle Racing Adventure would not happen since Nintendo would have to pay the license for the cars, and the hassle would not be worth it. Shame as its a good racer.
@anoyonmus superman 64 and clayfighter are the next two releases
I started playing WinBack the other day, it's actually pretty fun. I didn't have it back in the day, but once you get used to the lock-on aiming it plays quite well.
I've found it plays even better on a real N64 which doesn't have the overly twitchy analogue implementation of the NSO emulator.
Now if we could just get Wave Race...
Considering most of these Japan only games have been translated by fans for emulators, there is no reason why we should not get these either.
I would love to see more Rare games, the Goemon games as well as Mischief Makers.
Give us Superman you cowards.
I don’t think anyone has mentioned Wetrix. For some reason it holds a special place in my heart and I’m sad it doesn’t have any modern day successors.
The way this is worded makes me think there's no N64 game for August. Would lineup with the rumours that Goldeneye is delayed indefinitely on Xbox.
N64 has almost no value whatsoever
get the pitchforks I'll light the torch!
but seriosly would love to see bomberman hero, diddy kong racing and snowboard kids
I always had a soft spot for Knife edge nose gunner (it scored below average on release), the sticks precision was actually very good compared to what would become the standard of modern games. However that isn't the reason I would like to see it again. It would have worked brilliantly with wiimotes and could work well using gyro assisted aiming. With multiple players it was an interesting sci fi rail shooter. It's so obscure I bet the license is abandonware, so could be resurrected on the cheap. Still I've always got my N64 copy, as this would never get added.
What would I like to see? That's easy, Super Smash Bros., Pilotwings 64, Wave Race 64, Donkey Kong 64 and Diddy Kong Racing!
Diddy Kong Racing
Snowboard Kids
1080
Wetrix
Wave Race
@CharlieGirl beetle racing yes!! Loved that game as a kid. I’m surprised somebody else remembers it.
Nope. Still not paying for an expensive service for a subpar RENTING experience. Plus Nintendo‘s track record with the NES and SNES app is awful.
I will always be more inclined to buy the actually game like with Wii VC and Wii U VC
I really hope they add the Mario Party games...especially 1 and 3 since those have been shafted twice now in favor of MP2....
Banjo-Tooie is another one I'm hoping to see. Oh, and Smash 64, as well.
Who cares? NSO is so lame.
Just wanted to say it's nice to see mostly everyone talking which N64 games they want to see. I probably want to see Aerofighters Assault, Rouge Squadron, Shadows of the Empire, Battle for Naboo, Smash Bros, and Goldeneye.
Not sure if this is possible but I want a couple more systems on the service. There is GameBoy stuff I’d like to revisit and I’d really like to see TurboGraphx-16.
Conkers Bad Fur Day

Smash 64, Star Wars Rogue Squadron AND Shadows of the Empire, Golden Eye, Perfect Dark please!
WaveRace 64. make it happen lol
WaveRace 64
Pilotwings 64
@SpaceboyScreams You're surprised that others can possibly enjoy games you don't? How much more self centered can you come off as?
Castlevania Legacy of Darkness
Gauntlet Legends
Road Rash
Mortal Kombat Trilogy
Mortal Kombat 4
Mortal Kombat Sub Zero
Earthworm Jim 3d
Killer Instinct Gold
Top Gear Rally 2
San Francisco Rush 2
Spiderman
Virtual Pro Wrestling 2. That had the All Japan Pro Wrestling rights attached to it, and from my observation, it was released shortly before or around the time that Pro Wrestling Noah happened.
There were also a lot of not quite likenesses of past legends and wrestlers who were active back then in companies like New Japan Pro Wrestling, Michinoku Pro, RINGS and a host of others.
I Would Like To See Mario Party 1-3,
Diddy Kong Racing And Banjo-Tooie
@williammarq ooooh how could I forget about Trilogy and MK4??? Good mention.
I might be biased on this one but I would prefer more Genesis games or just release GB/GBC/GBA. Pokemom Stadium is the only game left I would want for N64. 007 highly unlikely for NSO
I would love to see
Jet Force Gemini and Diddy Kong Racing
@CharlieGirl I just want Buck Bumble for that epic theme!
thinks
Pilotwings 64
Wave Race 64
Ogre Battle 64
off the top of my head.
Come on, Smash 64...
NSO- N64 needs to also add...
.. Expeditiously at that please.
… Wun can only hope.
I'll take
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
and
Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine
That Indy game was a Blockbuster rental exclusive and not an easy one to come by in good condition.
Wave Race, Pilot Wings, Mischief Makers, Harvest Moon 64, Donkey Kong 64, Banjo Tooie and Goemon please. The N64 was the only Nintendo console I skipped as a young boy. A few years ago I got one as a Christmas present. A little childhood dream came true.
The last game I played on NSO was Pokemon Snap. Pretty good and surprisingly fun. They really did a great job with the succesor.
@SpaceboyScreams I feel the same. With a few exceptions most releases were very mehh for me, to put it mildly.
Pilotwings and Mario Party 1 or 2
I've said it before, I'll say it again: I want to play Diddy Kong Racing with my brothers again, battling it out in Icicle Pyramid like the good old days!
I think my dream is a release of the Pokémon Stadiums, the classic Pokémon games (RBY & GSC), and a feature where they can connect
Obviously I want to see Custom Robo made available in our regions! It's outrageous and I am SO mad at Nintendo (not really)
@FargusPelagius
Haven't thought of this game in years. Remember going to get Rainbow 6 from a pawn shop, it was so popular it was sold out so ended up with this instead. Quite a fun shooting game. Cheers!
Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Party 2, Banjo Tooie, Battletanx.
Beetle adventure racing, Beetle adventure racing, Beetle adventure racing, Beetle adventure racing, Beetle adventure racing, Beetle adventure racing, Beetle adventure racing, Beetle adventure racing oh and smash bros i guess. As well as memory card implemented in the emulator so adventure racing can save
@EmoGamer FACTS the rental Pokémon suck
@NintendoFan32 hey u pikachu may never happen since the switch has no microphone
South Park Rally is what the fans want, obviously.
I have a list haha
Jet Force Gemini
Mischief Makers
Chameleon Twist
Banjo Tooie
Mario Party 2
Pokemon Stadium 2
Rocket: Robot on Wheels
Diddy Kong Racing
Sarge's Heroes
Space Station Silicon Valley
There are so many phenomenal titles for the system. Hoping that they'll continue to support releases over the next year or two.
ISS64
AND THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING!!
One game a month is not cutting it.. i pay 40 some dollars for games that slip one a month and so far im not impressed
I would like more NES and SNES titles announced as well.
Nintendo reassures fans “more” will be added to their credit card overdraft
Definitely more Rareware stuff since we have Banjo Kazooie. Conker's Bad Fur Day, Donkey Kong 64, Banjo Tooie
@SpaceboyScreams Well yes, and no. Not all of the game being released for the Online Virtual console are all winners. And some of the best NES games are sold in other collections. There is also the difficulty of old games. They were pretty much all Dark Souls.
However, there are some games that stand the test time. Punch Out! (NES) is an incredible game that is better than any others that came out. Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES & SNES) is a must play. Star Fox 64 (N64) is still the best Star Fox game.
Also don't be surprised that in 20 years, you are playing games that came out in 2020 even though there are "better games" being made.
@Kyurom The Switch has a microphone, sort of. Any headphones you plug into the headphone jack have microphone support.
@ModdedInkling they've never done a whole lot for the Melee scene and actively sabotaged it most of the time, so I don't see how that would effect their decision
I just wonder if they will add M+ rated games to the service
I hope they add Harry Potter and the chambers of secret’s the video game 🎮
I remember that 'Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon' was definitely a good time...
Animal Forest (N64)
Aka
Animal Crossing (GCN)
Diddy Kong Racing, ISS 64, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark please!
Just give me Conker's Bad Fur Day, Banjo Tooie, Smash and DK64
Knife Edge😂 that's it
I just want some good ol' Diddy Kong Racing, man, give me that so I can go and zip around on Ancient Lake like an absolute madlad!
@Dpishere CBFD is still one of my all time favorites.
Pokemon Stadium (with Red/Blue/Yellow included), Super Smash Bros, Rogue Squadron, Castlevania 64, Jet Force Gemini, Blast Corps, Perfect Dark, Xena: Warrior Princess: The Talisman of Fate, Mortal Kombat 4, Wetrix, Battle for Naboo,
@Harleyquinnfan25 That was on Gamecube, not N64.
Pretty basic response but I want Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Tooie, and Diddy Kong Racing most. Throw in some Pilotwings 64 and Chameleon Twist for good measure. Oh! And Beetle Adventure Racing. I saw other people commenting that which made me remember that it exists and also a really fun game. And maybe the San Francisco Rush trilogy now that I think of it.
@SpaceboyScreams Well if we're going to get into semantics around 80%-90% of most console libraries are either shovelware, cheap knockoffs, cash-ins and not very good. Don't believe me go look over the PS4's complete library and tell me how many of those games you'd want to own. Odds are you're going to start struggling after a while.
So, yeah... It is that 10-20% people want on Expansion Pass.
@wuntyme8 The only title I'd want to be swapped on your list is Castlevania 64 with Castlevania Legacy of Darkness. It is the same game, just with far less jank and far more content.
Overall though... yeah that is my list too.
@Manxman64
The fact that they are limiting the most tournaments is the very reason they could do something because they like to control it. Why else do you think they supported Panda AFTER the sabotages?
@Doomcrow Would love No Mercy. It won’t happen due to license but I do wonder if they could release it with no real characters
Drip, drip, drip 💧. This was foreseeable and predictable.
@HammerGalladeBro You sir have my respect. Some of the minigames you're forced to play for completion were seriously janky. And there's those races with that stupid beetle. I never really minded exploring everywhere with every character, but some of the other stuff was painful to get through. Still worth it to face one of the most entertaining final bosses of all time. And to willingly complete it 3 times in a row within a short amount of time must've taken a lot of skill and patience
I'd be happy if they'd have Wii and GameCube games come to the service at some point in the future
@CharlieGirl Beetle Adventure Racing is a great game! Lots of hours with my brother!
Turok 3 Shadow of Oblivion... obviously
Top Gear Rally, please. The physics are excellent, it's a good game even now and it's the game I got into most on the 64
@CharlieGirl Beetle Adventure Racing is amazing
Mischief Makers.... PLEASE.
Harvest moon 64
@sleepinglion Your avatar explains my current reaction to anything about NSO.
Hee hee hee. You're right
Golden eye, banjo 2, smash bros, megaman64, conker, Mario party games and dk 64
And Kayloo gets grounded 64! 🙂
@Pip_Pipston Thanks, it definitely required patience, what helped me is that I almost memorized where everything was after the first playthrough and I somewhat understood how those minigames and races work and how I could cheat them.
Having said that, I'd rather play Donkey Kong 64 again than try to 100% Yooka-Laylee.
If I could, I would definitely play DK64 again on the Switch.
Blast Corps, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Smash, and Goldeneye would be games to make me upgrade
Also wouldn't mind Excitebike 64, Wave Race and 1080. Pretty please?
@CharlieGirl amazing response. Never thought of it that way
Outside of the obvious Rare stuff, I'm mostly interested in the games I missed back in the day, like Wave Race, Mischief Makers, Diddy Kong Racing, and Silicon Valley.
I'd also be curious to go through Body Harvest again, but that game was extremely rough and janky on release and I doubt it's gotten any more polished since then.
GOLDEN EYE AND MARIO PARTY
I've quickly read through heaps of these comments and haven't noticed many suggesting the 'diamond in the rough' absolute hidden gem that is Snowboard Kids!!!!
But for maybe a handful of people, I'm surprised such a fantastic, surprisingly deep and chaotically fun game isn't as fondly treasured by a wider audience...
Wow, the memories this one brings up, a true challenger to Mario Kart / Diddy Kong Racing and that rush and subsequent 'crunch' when it's time to grab that Ski lift in those turnstiles.....
Gameplay GOLD!!!
Surely some likes folks lol....
@Serpenterror "Because Midway doesn't exist anymore"
Maybe so BUT Ed Boon always references the older MK games on Twitter whenever possible, so like...idk, I just want to play MK Trilogy on my Switch via N64 NSO, would trade MK11 and it's godawful Bayonetta-on-PS3 level frame-rate for it immediately!!!
Whatever comes after Switch, Nintendo really should take this existing library with them and pick up the pace with future releases. It’s a real money spinner; they just seem to lack the resolve to set it up properly and monetise it to its full potential.
