The latest expansion to arrive in the Pokémon Trading Card Game is here, this time celebrating the mega-hit that is Pokémon GO. The Pokémon Company was kind enough to give us a look at some of the products on offer, so we thought it best to share a closer look with you lovely lot, too.
This new and special Pokémon TCG set contains 88 different cards to collect (or 101 in Japan), including Radiant, Trainer, VMAX, VSTAR and full art cards. All sorts of fan-favourite Pokémon appear this time around, as well as people and items found in Pokémon GO.
Here's a quick peek at the glorious (and very rare) full art cards found in this expansion. They look absolutely stunning, don't they?

No, thanks.
So stupid a 2 word reply isn't good enough for you, Nintendo Life.
@moodycat They were about £2.50 a pack when I was a kid…£2.50 in 1999 is equivalent to around £4.82 nowadays so pretty much consistent with how much they’ve always cost. Guess it’s just always been daylight robbery because that is a lot for a few cards haha
@Maulbert Correct!
I don't play nor collect Pokémon TCG, but I usually love their human characters original arts. Having something else other than their key arts add so much personality to them
I have the alolan eggsacutor (idk how to spell it . Are they all rare or just the full arts
@moodycat The way that Pokemon is still outrageously popular in the secondary market, you can be sure people on eBay will try and flog them for a hell of a lot more. All these sets at £5 will be bought up by ‘investors’ and ‘YouTubers’ in no time.
Why does Japan get more cards?
That lower Dragonite card looks lovely.
I'm surprised the UK's government is okay with Pokemon cards being sold to kids!
Maybe they should demand that the contents of each pack be known to the buyer before purchasing!!!!! Ha ha ha.
Awful set, awful article and pretty bad he's just copy and pasted Amazon listings. So many small businesses that could benefit from a little bit of exposure. Amazon always RRP too, when most stores forced to sell under.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: this set has no reason to be as good as it is. For being a tie in set for POKEMON GO of all things, it fully takes advantage of that seemingly ridiculous premise, both in the artwork of the cards and the cards themselves (between stuff like the Professors, Pokestops and GO-specific items). I'm planning on picking up one of the Kanto starter pin collections myself and the wait to go and pick it up is absolutely agonising.
@moodycat You think that's bad? The packs over here in Ireland are €6 a piece! There's a reason I don't buy singular packs all too often that's for sure......
❗️I'll rather have these as a NFT File...
If you play/collect Pokémon cards, please consider supporting your local game store rather than Amazon. The set isn't mindblowing but there's actually some pretty decent meta relevant cards in there.
