After spending some time in Steam's Early Access program, publisher tinyBuild has announced that Despot's Game: Dystopian Army Builder will launch on the Switch this Summer.

Featuring stylised pixelated visuals, the game sees you in command of a army of "puny humans" as you work to build them into the most formidable force possible. You'll have access to over 50 weapon types, including conventional swords, stale pretzel throwers, and refrigerators.

Nikolay Kuznetsov, game creator at developer Konfa Games, had the following to say on the console release:

“Over the past months, we really listened to our community to learn what would make Despot’s Game even greater. From that came exciting revamped mechanics to better the player experience and a ton of new content that we are proud to release across all consoles and mobile. Now, there’s no more excuse to stay out of Despot's Game’s chaotic madness!”

Here's a little glimpse at the features in the game:

Build your army - Pick your loot and transform the squishy humans intowizards, cultists, ninjas and dozens of other heroes. With perks and class combos, there are thousands of ways to build your army.

Indirect combat -
Prepare your warriors and let them fight it out on their own! Indirect combat allows you to focus heavily on tactical considerations rather than reflexes.

Endless exploration -
The dungeons are generated from scratch every time, and there is no chance puny humans will ever find the way out!

Asynchronous multiplayer -
Fight against other players and compete in multiplayer challenges!
