The Japanese YouTube channel for Pokémon is a treasure trove of high-quality animation, and their latest videos — which have a focus on ASMR-adjacent recipes in the daily life of a guy who lives with Pokémon — are an absolute delight.
Episode One has Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Psyduck having adventures around the house, while their Pokémon-obsessed owner makes an Eevee latte, Pikachu choux pastry, and later, when Jigglypuff gets sad about being left out, some Jigglypuff cream puffs.
Episode Two picks up on Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Charmander, and Psyduck playing catch in the garden, while their owner picks strawberries. Jigglypuff gets hit on the head, and has a little cry, but it all works out okay when their owner makes a ton of custard tarts, pizza, and what looks like ube mochi. Can Pokémon eat human food? Or are all those sweets for him?
Episode Three is a little more savoury, beginning with tanghulu — candied strawberries, oranges, and hawthorn — and ending with a feast of roasted chestnuts, popcorn, and cheese-topped roasted potatoes. The owner also makes a caramel portrait of Psyduck, which confuses Psyduck.
We should also tell you that if you don't like squelchy wet food noises, you are going to absolutely hate these videos. ASMR doesn't work for everyone, after all. But it's worth watching the bits with the Pokémon, because a day in the life of a world where Pokémon are real and mundane is actually very sweet.
Which Pokémon would you have as a pet? Tell us in the comments!

I thought the title said a 𝙎𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙮 jigglypuff 🤣
Oh God my ears.
It sounds so...moist.
Guys I need help! I feel asleep during episode two and now I have permanent marker on my face! I don't know who did it, help!
The lack of a fur texture on Pikachu's face is a little weird
This is so relaxing wtf.
One word comes to mind
MOIST
This is actually music to my eyes
@UglyCasanova yeah, if wet food sounds are ASMR, then I think I do not like ASMR
So this means a Japanese confection shop will open and call eat all you Pokémon(catch them all).
Wet noises aside, most of that food looks very tasty!
But what Pokemon would I have as a pet? That's a tough one! I actually wouldn't want most of my favourites - Trubbish would just smell bad, Litwick would be spooky and I wouldn't want a pet with an exposed flame permanently, Mudkip would be wet and slimey to touch.
I think I'd have to go with Jigglypuff. Maybe a Bulbasaur but I'd worry that it would want to evolve into an Ivysaur or Venusaur and that bud/flower would attract bug Pokemon and those are just not something I'd be ok with existing. Honestly the idea of Phantump and Yamask being dead people turned Pokemon are things I'm more ok with being real than the likes of Vespiquen and Beedrill.
@KateGray wet food sounds are ASMR adjacent for sure, but this video was particularly heavy on them. I prefer tapping and soft whispers for my tingles to really get going, though these days I usually fall asleep before I get any 😅
