FAR: Lone Sails won over plenty of fans with its genre-mixing exploration gameplay in 2019, so we were rather pleased when a sequel was revealed last Summer. Now developer Okomotive and publisher Frontier Foundry have confirmed that FAR: Changing Tides will arrive on 1st March, with pre-orders to open on Switch eShop in February.
You can see some official details below, and it's worth noting that the developers have stressed that you don't need to play the first game in order to enjoy this sequel:
Embark on an unforgettable journey as Toe, a boy stranded alone in a flooded, post-apocalyptic world. Traverse this beautifully-realised landscape at the helm of a unique ship that will be your constant companion both above and below the waves. Solve puzzles, overcome the elements, and dive to unknown depths in your search for a new home.
The developer has also put together a lovely soundscapes video, which features over an hour of music with footage and scenes from the game.
Are you interested in picking this up on Switch?

The first game was a terrific adventure / puzzler that can be played through in less than 10 hours.
It was totally worth the price and the time spent was very enjoyable.
I will definitely get this sequel since it looks like more of what I enjoyed and it offers the new water environments!
Huh, neat, it releases on my birthday.
First game was great - especially at its recent sale price of £3.30!
I played the first one on Steam... it was really cool, but a little more repetitive than I hoped.
I will likely play the sequel as well... looks like it could be even better.
Stoked for this. I plan to buy it on release day and hope it matches the quality of the first.
Still waiting on that physical FAR Duo pack, there LRG...Special Res...Bueller?! Hell, u can throw Super Rare a bone and give them something decent to release for a change (keep calm; I own a whopping 3 of their releases)!
The first one was very fun. I was hoping a sequel would add coop. This would be a great game for coop.
