UK physical chart data is now in for the week ending 13th November, revealing that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is Switch's best-seller of the week.
Continuing to shine as one of Nintendo Switch's evergreen hits, and no doubt helped by the recent launch of the Happy Home Paradise DLC and major 2.0 update, the game managed to sell enough physical copies this week to outperform the newly released Forza Horizon 5.
New Switch exclusive Shin Megami Tensei V has managed to earn a top ten place in its opening week, landing in ninth place, and Mario Party Superstars has now fallen from third for the first time since launch, now sitting in seventh spot.
Elsewhere, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl also entered the charts in 23rd place this week, with a majority 56% of its sales coming on Switch.
Here's a look at this week's top ten all formats chart:

Good to see SMTV in the charts. I don't actually have a copy yet as I am currently sorting out stuff for cream cracker season, but I will most likely be buying this as a birthday gift to myself in a few weeks time after pay day.
Kinda wish SMTV was higher on the list, but I'm grateful it's even on there at all.
Don't expect those top 2 positions to change for a long while, despite the games' actual worth. (I accept that people can like these dudebro games, however both these entries have reviewed poorly and don't deserve the success they will be gifted by huge fanbases)
SMTV's UK retail launch sales were 60% more than that of Bravely Default 2, 43% more than Monster Hunter Stories 2, and 23% more than Tales of Arise.
JRPGs generally don't perform that well in the UK (outside of the obvious exceptions such as Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, etc), but of all the JRPGs released this year, SMTV seems to have sold the best at UK retail.
WAIT....Where is GTA??? ANY VERSION??? EVEN V ISNT THERE????
@Bunkerneath this is the true mystery! I demand answers.
Loving SMT V but I'm suprised to see it in the charts!
...but I'm sure it will be gone next week. The UK charts always return to the same handful of games.
It will be interesting to see how SMTV did in Japan, it's the most anticipated unreleased Switch game for the last few weeks
Really wish more than the top ten was printed.
Wish SMT V could have debuted higher, but still good visibility for a formerly niche property.
I love it so much. It's everything I want from the monster collecting JRPG genre.
UK don't love too much JRPGS. Its decent considering.
@ThatBlokeTor the next 10 are 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20.
"Elsewhere, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl also entered the charts in 23rd place this week, with a majority 56% of its sales coming on Switch."
"Those who can play Nintendo games, don't need to play those cheap copies."
Nice to see SMTV in the top 10. It's awesome! Maybe my GOTY.
@Otoemetry Pokémon Diamond and Pearl might debut at number one, but yeah: UK really likes their shooters and football games. Oh... and GTA 5 of course.
@Quarth I'm not so sure, given the bad press whirling around BDSP and the fact that they're remakes I'm betting they won't take 1st place. They'll take top spot in Japan for sure but in the UK I dunno
@Otoemetry Yeah, we'll see.
at least Shin Megami Tensei 5 made it into the top ten the game is fantastic
@Snaplocket
???
I said the UK, not the west as a whole.,
Forza at 4th... Oof
Also shin megami at 9th? I'd say that's pretty poor considering persona 5 took top spot when it released
I've been riveted to SMTV since Saturday. It's an amazing entry in a great series. Atlus bringing everything that was always good in SMT and updating the clunky world design for a new generation.
That said, I thoroughly expect sales to drop off a cliff within a week or two. This is not a game designed for mainstream appeal.
@ThatBlokeTor They do publish the top 40 later, but Nintendolife doesn't talk about it. Same with famitsu, they publish the top 30 the day after the top 10.
@UltimateOtaku91 Not strange, considering Persona is more popular and accessible than SMT.
Wow looks like UK finally see the laziness of Rockstar and slow down on the mass purchase of the GTA V crap that often stay in the top 10 chart.
@Otoemetry tbf , SwSh showed that nostalgia and familiarity with old conventions often trumps bad press, unfortunately.
Good to see SMT V in the top ten in a small market as the U.K. Such a fantastic game.
Switch owners in the UK should go to New Horizons and buy SMT V.
@KryptoniteKrunch Yeap it is a fantastic game, sad that it won't be a Switch exclusive for long if a certain data mining is to believe.

@Ramen756 the bad press seems different this time, there's been less back and forth in the fandom and people seem to be more open to discussing the games' inadequacies. Perhaps the realities of playing SwSh have opened some people's eyes to it a bit and they're able to see how unacceptable it is for the game to be released unfinished, especially after some of the questionable stylistic choices the developers have made.
I dunno, I just don't see the hype for them like I did when Let's Go and SwSh were being released.
A pity games like Metroid Dread or Shin Megami Tensei will "never" sell as much as other Nintendo franchises (unless they do "a Zelda" and release a game like Breath of the Wild). Anyway, I hope they sell a lot and become both the best sellers of their franchises.
Put about 5 hours into it so far and its been great so far, i will say the lack of auto save can be annoying though because if you put in an hour and forget to save and die well that was an hour wasted and lost.
@Otoemetry I wouldn't be shocked if they're top, the bad press is from "gamers" and well the main audience who buys them aren't the "hardcore" side, i mean S&S got nothing but hate on the internet and ended up doing insanely well. I will say since the leak the bad press has died down as those who have been following the leaks can see it has a fair amount of content and isn't as "bad" as we thought, even the visuals look pretty good now i've seen it in action.
Is there an issue with the physical copies? I got an email about my amazon preorder not shipping on time so I had to cancel and download the game instead. Also, my local walmart does not have copies of SMTV on the shelf and that cannot be good for retail sales. Their Switch selection isn't lacking, there are recent 3rd party games like the Hot Wheels one there but they couldn't get this thing in stores?
@Stude It's just a notice that your order could be delay a few days late due to shipping issue. Just give it a few days and it'll come. If you cancelled the order then that item will just be stock at wherever Amazon facility the item arrive at once it leave the shipping dock.
My copy of SMTV IS FINALLY shipping and will arrive tomorrow or Wednesday. If you don’t hear from me for awhile… you’ll know why.
Who needs to buy first party games on Xbox when we have Gamepass?
