Last Friday, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl hit store shelves, finally giving fans a remake of the series' beloved fourth generation of games. Early sales data suggests they're off to a flying start, which shouldn't really come as any surprise, and their launch has just become that extra bit special.
That's all because of James Turner, a graphic designer responsible for plenty of your favourite Pokémon. Game Freak's talented artist is back with a new piece celebrating the new games, showcasing both box art stars Dialga and Palkia in his signature style. Check it out:
Adorable, huh?
Turner's also shared a smartphone wallpaper-sized version if you'd like to use the piece as your next background. Don't mind if we do!

Adorable. I liked chibi style in the game honestly
HOW DID THIS GUY MAKE 2 GIANT INTIMIDATING POKÉMON LOOK SO FREAKING CUTE!!!
oh my god he called it a "telephone wallpaper", that's adorable
this guy is author of the worst designed Pokemon family ever: the icecream
This family consists in an icecream with one head that evolves to a icecream with two heads. Terrible.
@abdias The Vanillite line gets a lot of undeserved hate. It's not really out of place in the Pokemon World--there are Pokemon based off of gears, piles of mud, literal garbage bags, bells, magnets, sandcastles, dollops of whipped cream, keychains, and Pokeballs. There's also the entire rotom family. Nobody likes every Pokemon design, that's fine, but every Pokemon has someone who likes them. I think the Vanillite line is fun, but that's just my personal opinion too.
He also designed Shadow Lugia which is popularly considered badass among the Pokemon fandom.
