Mega Drive (or Genesis, if you'd prefer) is finally part of the Nintendo Switch Online lineup, and in the UK, Sega has been giving its 16-bit console a wee push in the form of fetching merchandise.
We were fortunate enough to get sent some samples of said merch, including a rather cool hoodie, a Mega Drive-style wireless charging mat and a Mega Drive mug – the latter of which we can solemnly declare is the perfect receptacle for a piping-hot beverage of your choosing.
If you've been bitten by the Sega bug thanks to the arrival of Mega Drives on Nintendo Switch Online, then have a gander at some of the cool gear below – you might find some potential Christmas gift ideas in there, and any purchase you make directly supports Nintendo Life.

Aww, Sega Mega Drive plush cushion looks pretty cute! Now, I want to see SNES plush cushion or Nintendo GameCube plush cushion! 😆
I do like the MD-16 hoodie, birthday in 4 weeks, hmmm
Nah, I want the genesis
Yes it’s really disappointing to see the Sega uk store has so little Dreamcast merch. And doesn’t even stick the HOTD merch that the USA store has.
@Bunkerneath It's really nice but when I washed it the fabric on the sleeves went knobbly
@zapswitch
Lastly heard about the Geny Drive as a Acronyme, i quita like it
@Topic Cup looks great.
But no Space, no buy.
That charging mat is dope but it isn’t in the US store 😪
... but we already had the Mega Drive Collection?!
Was interested in the hoodies but the designs are a bit too on the nose for me. Wish they'd gone for something more subtle, but then I'm not complaining about being turned away from a 40 quid spend.
Why would I celebrate this awful awful service
Genesis still does what Nintendon't.
@Maximumbeans My thoughts exactly. Honestly just looks tacky with all that stuff plastered all over them.
Would prefer Genesis branding but I’m sure it’s not high quality merch
I would love to have a Megadrive mug.
I'm going to order it.
@ModdedInkling Yeah. Like fail out of the hardware business.
@Maulbert TRUE. At least they went out with a decent console.
@ModdedInkling Decent. Not great. If it was great, they wouldn't have failed.
Official Mega Drive... garbage!
Some nice merch there... shame i'm in Australia.
