Last year, The Wand Company launched a line of die-cast Poké Ball replicas with the iconic, standard Poké Ball itself, and later the Great Ball, in collaboration with The Pokémon Company. That line of Ball designs continues with the Ultra Ball, the third in the series, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Pokémon.
The Ultra Ball, like its other Ball companions, will cost £99.99/$99.99 — which might seem eye-wateringly expensive for a Ball that doesn't actually work (please don't try to capture your pets).

The Die-Cast Poké Ball Replica Series is available at many retailers, but Zavvi is offering a free T-shirt with pre-orders, which looks like this:
Here's the description from The Wand Company:

The photos make it seem a bit plasticky to be honest.
Unfortunately it’s not less than 1,200 Poké Dollars, as it’s analogous to Yen, which translates to about £8 or US $11.
Looks nice but not 100$ nice.
A little trivia.
The Japanese name of this item is the Hyper Ball, which is why the design features a prominent yellow H on the top.
Some languages like French and German retain this name in their localisations.
@Markiemania95 now that I think about it, they are dirt cheap for the technology in them.
@RupeeClock Why would they change the names of the pokeballs? i mean, it's a biiiit more intuitive to have
poke - great - ultra
than
poke - super - hyper
but when i was a kid, i tought the great ball was to catch big pokemons like snorlax
@PaulBizkit
Well the Great Ball also happens to be called the Super Ball in Japan.
And you might already notice, we have items like Super Potion and Hyper Potion that kept that naming scheme.
@RupeeClock to add to this trivia, the ultra ball in the original language was translated to English to "beast ball" which is a pretty dumb name. (I guess that the localization team have not much choice)
>it's less than the 800-1,200 Poké Dollars it costs in-game, at least.
Well, I reckon the Pokémon currency is probably based on yen, just automatically. Like, if you made a game and did some made up currency, you'd probably automatically think in terms of your own currency. So for me, 5 of something isn't much, 100 is quite a lot, 50,000 is loads, etc. But to a Japanese person, 100 is not much at all, it's about a dollar. 50,000 is a good amount but not as much as it is to a Brit or American. It's about $500.
Anyway, long story short, 800-1200 "currencies" to a Japanese mentality used to yen is about $8-12.
Edit: A quick bit of googling later and apparently the idea of it being a "poke dollar" and the symbol in-game is just made up for the localisations. In the original versions of the games they just use 円, the yen kanji.
tough choice spend that amount on something collect dust or buy a ***** load of beer and an actual pokemon game
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Jeez 100 bucks? That's ridiculous.
Would be really cool if they were able to make Pokémon in the future with some sort of technology.
