It may well have been buried underneath all of the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus hype, but mobile and eShop puzzler Pokémon Café Mix was also treated to an interesting news update during today's Pokémon Presents show.
Just like Pokémon Masters before it, Café Mix is getting a revamp along with a very slightly different name – you know, just to confuse us all. From fall 2021, the game will be known as Pokémon Café Remix:
"Pokémon's touch-based puzzle game for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices is getting an exciting revamp this fall, along with a new name!
A ton of new Pokémon are being added to the game, and with them come new dress-up options. Puzzles have been refreshed, too, and include exciting new gameplay elements! And look forward to new ways to grow and develop the Pokémon staff of your bustling café."
We've always felt that Pokémon Café Mix has been a perfectly pleasant free-to-play game, so new content and gameplay elements are very welcome indeed – especially for those who've been playing regularly for a while now.
Do you play much Café Mix? Will this update pull you back in? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.

Kirby Cafe game when?
I finally have to try this game out.
Why do they keep doing this? They did it with masters last year and that felt just as pointless
@Dizzymario Because it's an easy way for them to get more people playing and spending money.
When I played this game it felt more like Yokai Watch Wibble Wobble, which is now dead, than Pokémon Shuffle. I might go back to this game eventually. I stopped playing after the Celebi event.
I actually like Cafe Mix, it's a fun "turn your brain off" type puzzler, and it's just so freaking adorable. Grindstone's been scratching that itch for me recently, might come back and play Cafe Mix more if the remix thing turns out to be good.
Called this yesterday. 😁

"Pokemon Cafe Re-Mix" and "Pokemon Quest On!"
Of course I was joking, but still got the name right.
I tried playing this once - tried b/c it's touch screen only and doesn't work out of the dock - and I don't game out of the dock.
@ItsjustAnotherGamer Uh, you did read the part where they’re adding new gameplay elements and changing up the puzzles and stuff, right? It’s not going to be life changing or anything, but they are doing more than just changing the title.
I just love the art style they took with this game. I always like to see how the Pokemon series branches out with their spinoffs, more than I like to play them.
