Pre-orders for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD just got a whole lot tastier over at the My Nintendo Store in the UK, with all buyers being entered into a draw to win this lovely 'Link on Loftwing' figurine from First 4 Figures.
Completely sold out on the manufacturer's website, the figurine is a pricey prize, initially releasing for $459.99. Featuring Link flying on Skyward Sword's red Loftwing, it measures 26" x 22" x 25" and is sculpted from polystone resin, complete with hand-painted detailing.
The My Nintendo Store promotion actually covers copies of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, the Zelda: Skyward Sword Joy-Con, and the Zelda & Loftwing amiibo – you can pre-order any of these items to be entered into the draw to win the figurine.

Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, as well as the accompanying amiibo and Joy-Con, launches on 16th July. We'll have a full review of the game for you a little nearer to release.

Why does Europe always have better deals than us Americans?
@HotGoomba because in the 1990-2000 it was the contrary ahah.
That's one awesome looking figurine.
@HotGoomba Look at the terrifying expression on Link's face. I don't want this figurine anywhere near my continent, let alone my house.
Who cares about luck and chances.... i'll sell my parents house and buy the figure my self....
A long while ago, I preordered Dragon Quest Builders 2 and was entered in a chance to win a Slime plushie.......and lo and behold, I actually won it. I was not expecting to ever win anything through a random draw like that.
The Slime now sits atop my CRT (which I use for N64 and older), along with a Mimikyu plushie.
That is a nice figure. Heck knows where I would put it though. I still have my Majora's Mask figure in its box since I got it as I don't have anywhere ideal to display it.
The Nintendo UK Store is probably (one of) the most expensive place to order from. You’re paying a premium to enter this competition. A lot of other retailers are selling the game for £40-£42 with the same pre-order goodies (steel case and keyring).
Nah I can get all them without VAT through Amazon as I live in Guernsey, but the Nintendo UK Store doesn't recognize us.
Also only the game is in stock
@ryancraddock
No article about the My Nintendo sweepstakes? You can win a 24 x 14.5 SSHD art print, a Zelda pro controller, and the zelda encyclopedia!
Honestly I would advise everybody to avoid ordering anything at all from My Nintendo Store (particularly the Europe/UK) unless absolutely necessary. Not only are they one of the most expensive places to order from in general, you can almost always find it much cheaper elsewhere most other places, but they're an absolutely shocking setup for taking people's orders and dealing with customer service.
They don't allow you to change payment methods on any existing orders you have made, even if payment hasn't already been taken (i.e. for pre-orders that charge on dispatch) which meant that recently I completely missed out on a special edition which has very quickly been completely scalped and no stock left. Their reasoning for this is "security concerns" which to me translates to a badly built back end system which can't handle any changes to records and orders and just breaks and falls over if this happens. Their pathetic solution to me was to "Cancel the order and place a new order" and I told them I couldn't do this because the item was now out of stock and is very limited and wouldn't be available again etc. and their reply was just "Sorry nothing we can do. Bye"
They also take ages to alert when something comes back in stock, which you typically only really want to do for very in demand items, super limited collector's editions, and by the time they alert you, whatever was available has already gone and is being scalped
In summary, they're one of the most useless stores and customer service teams I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I'll never be ordering from them again unless I absolutely have to
@HotGoomba I'd take your consistently better prices on all games, electronics etc. over the chance to win an overpriced piece of moulded plastic.
