Thanks to a new partnership deal with Megagon Industries and Thunderful Games, Super Rare Games has announced that it'll be launching a physical edition of Lonely Mountains: Downhill on Nintendo Switch.
As is normally the case, this physical release will be a limited affair with just 5,000 copies being printed in total. It'll be going on sale on Super Rare's website from 18th February at 6pm GMT (so that's 10am PT /1pm ET) for around £27 depending on your region.
Your purchase will include all of the game's current content on the cart, a full-colour manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and three trading cards randomly selected from a five-card set. All copies will also feature a collector's slipcover, and shipping will begin soon after the product goes on sale.
If you need convincing, we called Lonely Mountains: Downhill "an absolute freewheeling delight" when it first launched on Switch last summer, giving it a mighty 9/10 score in our review. If you're into your physical games and haven't played this one yet, it'll certainly be worth your time.

It's such a great game. I really need to get back to it again and finish off the DLC.
@BenAV
Hmm. I've never seen this game before, I guess? I love the look of it though.
You guys definitely had advance knowledge of this to get an article up so quickly.
It was also super-predictable, SRG hinted at this one hard.
I reckon this one might sell out pretty quickly, even with 5,000 copies!
@GamerGrandpa Came out on Switch in May last year. It can be really relaxing and satisfying to play.
The last game for the first Super Rare triple pack of 2021. It bodes well for what else may come from them this year. Easily my second favorite boutique publisher behind Strictly Limited.
I love my racing games but not at that price for such a shallow experience.
AHHH BLOOOD NO MY CHILD EYES
@Broforce: I know trolling is kind of your thing, but what about this game is shallow? I find it complex and nuanced, not to mention beautiful. I've never played a game like it. It's somehow relaxing and difficult.
@Magician: I'm not familiar. What is the Super Rare triple pack?
And because its Super Rare I will be picking up a copy. Still waiting for my Shantae games from limited run, never using them again
@kennykenny I don't know, it just doesn't look like it's worth over £30.
@RupeeClock They'd have been sent an embargoed press release - that's usually what happens
@kennykenny
Aside from the occasional one-off like The Sexy Brutale, SRG usually offer bundles of their upcoming releases. Unfortunately, it looks like PB#12 already sold out.

Great game - still need to get the dlc
Too bad SRG doesn't offer a duties paid option. Add shipping, taxes and handling fees and buying this game from outside the UK is quite unreasonable. It's shame, I would have liked to have this one physical.
@BenAV This comment is why I’m finally going to buy it.
Excellent game, it’s highly addicting, challenging yet relaxing at the same time. Definitely going to get the DLC. Too bad I missed out on a physical copy
