Everyone get Ace Attorney Trilogy! It’s amazing!
Some great games at some great prices, but I cannot help but wonder where Onimusha 2 is ☹️
European prices?
Can get the resident evil triple pack (resi 4,5 & 6) for 12 quid on the ps store , on the switch however its 12 quid for each one
@Would_you_kindly was just about to say the same thing I want resi 4 for the switch but I still think it’s overpriced in the sale
These are the same sale prices every single time. I've been watching most of them. Reducing MM Legacy 1 from $15 to $10 and MM Legacy 2 from $20 to $10 is BS, especially when the 3DS version goes down to $6.
@Gs69 Especially as they never patched in gyro controls (although given the mess they made of them in RE5 perhaps that’s a good thing).
So I already have around 15 or 16 of those games on Switch and I think 9 on the 3DS already 😱
I'll look into the ones I don't have yet like Resi Evil Zero & maybe the two Mega Man collections I don't have
Damn! I would buy Monster Hunter 3 on both 3DS and Wii U for those prices.. Sadly in Europe they're still priced at the ridiculous 39,99£ and 49,99£. Those prices are near offensive considering the age of the games.
@BulkSlash are the gyro controls on RE 5 that bad? I had it on PS3 using PS move, and they worked great. Very odd they got Wii, correct, PS3 correct, then flumux the Switch version.
@Would_you_kindly what an irrelevant, inane comment
@Bomberman64 i got MH 3 ultimate on launch day for £40. Quite why the digital version was so expensive i don't know. Sales were so poor they gave me a "free" copy for 3DS (download code). Still play it from time to time and well worth it. I hope they bring back a more streamlined water combat in a World add-on or future game. MH 4 is the peak for myself though.
I keep telling myself to get Okami. I need to go ahead and just get it.
@HamatoYoshi in the time these games have been out, in the volume of sales they have been in, surely price parity on sale should be nearly the same by now? Nope still double the price on Switch. Even i haven't got anywhere near the amount of Capcom games i should, and i am a massive fan of RE. (I have one Capcom game on Switch) the sales are missing sales from genuine fans haha.
@FargusPelagius Sadly they screwed one key thing up with gyro in RE5. I’m one of those people that needs to play with the y-axis on the right stick inverted but in RE5 if you invert the stick it also inverts the gyro at the same time which I don’t want. Most games let you select those options individually but RE5 doesn’t so the gyro controls are basically useless for me. 😢
@TheLightSpirit but it’s like comparing apples to oranges, can you play the PS4 ones handheld or on the go etc?
Im shocked 3ds eshop only has like 2 Professor Layton games. How are they not all there? I thought all DS and 3DS Layton games would be there. Major missed opportunity.
I've been tempted to get Super Monkey Ball 3D on the 3ds eshop, but $20 seems steep for that game on a dead console.
@FargusPelagius I’m a huge Capcom fan too but most of their Switch catalogue is usually on a very cheap sale, Okami for example is regularly £7.99.
Comparing the price of the PS4 versions is like comparing apples to oranges. I don’t own a PS4 so even if on that platform the games were £1 each it wouldn’t make an iota of difference to me.
@BulkSlash oh that is a bummer. And it isn't a difficult fix their end. Allowing refined customisation of controls should be standard these days. Is there no way to invert the sticks via the Switch controller profiles perhaps? And bypass Capcoms fumble.
@HamatoYoshi yeah i understand that totally. But alot of Switch owners own another console, Switch released 2017, x1 and PS4 2013. Their ancient machines access cheaper games.
I have never paid nearly double the price for a portable version of a game my whole life. I won't start now just because it is the "only" option.
I'll get Resident Evil 1 and 4 at 10 each, whenever they get down to that price. Also want Dragon Dogma, but at 12 max.
@HamatoYoshi it's not irrelevant for people that want the resident evil games & own multiple consoles.
@the_beaver yeah i've been waiting for Dragons Dogma to go sub £10 myself. It's constantly on sale on Xbox for £6.49 and i keep nearly buying it on there. I think the 4 games that are properly priced are, Onimusha,Okami, and the two revelations games. Everything else is simply "nope".
@Would_you_kindly yes I understand that but for someone with just a Switch the PS4 price means nothing
I'm very tempted by Apollo Justice, namely because I've heard it's excellent and suspect it won't be in many more sales past this point. (I'd love a physical copy, but they're expensive....) I still wonder if it and the two 3DS games will show up in a future trilogy on Switch, so I'm not sure whether to jump on this deal or wait....
As to why I'm not considering the other two, it's mainly down to SD card space lol.
@HamatoYoshi so you are happy to get ripped off because you only own a switch?
Its people like you defending this kind of shady business practice that mean things will never change for switch owners, and every game you buy will continue to have the added Nintentax.
Im def getting Pheonix Wright now. Thats an amazing deal.
I know people are tired of seeing the same sales over and over, and some could be lower of course. But I don't mind them because they made decent business sense: the Switch is selling so well, there will always be new users looking for deals for these popular games.
I picked up Okami HD during a similar sale in the spring and I'll probably get Pheonix Wright this time out.
@BulkSlash I genuinely didn’t realise it hasn’t got gyro controls lol thanks for pointing that out
If you haven't given it a look, I've been stuck to RE Revelations 2 lately. The Raid Mode alone is very addictive, if you can deal with annoying load times.
@ChaosBadger777 wow! What an angry little man you are!
@HamatoYoshi not angry, it just annoys me how publishers think they can rip us off on the switch by constantly inflating the prices vs other consoles.
I would like to have Resi 4 on the Switch but I can't justify paying 3 times the price just yo play the game in bed. There is no reason for these game prices to be so inflated other than greed, and it infuriating when people advocate this kind of behaviour.
Capcom probably benefited most from my splurge last night - Dragon's Dogma, Onimusha, even Revelations 2 while I was at it (despite being reluctant to play it anytime soon - the plot apparently lands all the way after RE5, and it's enough that my first beaten RE game turned out to be a "prequel" to it😅).
I don't recall MHGU on the European sale, but for all the temptation its recurrently tasty sale price has evoked in me, I'm still in no hurry to invest in the franchise whose inspired followers like God Eater I still prefer over it. If I have an itch, there's always MH4U I inherited with my 3DS.
@ChaosBadger777 maybe he's just happy to pay more on the platform that allows to PLAY more? A simple reason, but apparent rocket science for the gamers either below the full employment age or still comparatively spared by it now.😏
I don't even buy this stuff for my relatively portable laptop (many of whose Steam/GOG/Humble prices could likewise guffaw at PS Store's) because that laptop is still load to drag around and I'd rather drag it around for the titles that aren't on Switch.
@FargusPelagius Unfortunately not, you can swap the analogue sticks and “rotate” them 90 degrees in the remap app but there’s no option to invert. It’s a shame as that would be really helpful for any games where the developer hasn’t put an invert option in.
@Gs69 No worries, it really is a shame as RE4 Wii Edition is so fun to play. I’m sure Capcom would have sold loads more RE4 copies if they’d got gyro aiming like that in there.
I've got 14 of these game across 3DS and Switch (4 on 3DS and 10 on Switch). 9 Resident Evil games (all the available), 2 Monster Hunters, Dragon's Dogma and then my latest purchase 3 days ago, Onimusha Warlords (don't you worry, I got that one on sale 60% off, I live i Europe).
BTW I understand why Capcom haven't released remasters of the other Onimusha games too. They're just not as good as the first one IMO. I've finished the first one twice (and none of the others), and it certainly has its moments, even though it's not totally my cup of tea.
Edit: forgot the last one, Street Fighter IV 3D Edition.
Damn Megaman 11 not on sale in europe.
Okami and Ace Attorney are looking very tempting. Same with MMX Legacy Collection.
@ChaosBadger777
People don’t ‘advocate’ anything, they just buy the Switch version because either A) It’s their only option, or B) They would rather have the game on the Switch. If you aren’t bothered enough about the Convenience factor to pay more, that’s absolutely your prerogative. But if others are and consider it good value, that’s up to them.
What!?
No sale on WiiU!?
At some point, you might consider making articles when Capcom’s games are at full price.
@Blooper987 I've always been interested in the series, but at the same time I'm not a fan of Point & Click games. Should I still look into this game or skip?
@dkxcalibur I didn’t care for point and click games that much until Ace Attorney. At that price it’s a steal. I would definitely suggest it!
If I had a d-pad I’d be all over Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection.
Nice that Capcom remember they had some 3DS games too.
ah spirit of justice, crazy its already been 4 years since that game came out
Ok Capcom, Ono is gone. You can stop holding USFIV hostage...
Now might be a good time to add external HDD and SDD compatibility, or at least the option to move back game files up. They're tied to the system so theft shouldn't be an issue.
Why hasn't there been a January sale in NA? It's already kicking in EU.
Picked up Okami and Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate
@Peteykins I'd say you need to try really hard to NOT get them on sale...
