Anything worth getting there? I owned a good deal of their games on the 3ds and enjoyed most but dont have a single game of theirs on the Switch.
Ain't gonna lie, never heard of these guys before
I would buy Mercenaries Saga Chronicles if I didn't already have MS 2 and 3 for 3DS.
@Spoony_Tech I liked Pan-Pan quite a lot. Short and sweet little adventure, and definitely worth it at the current price.
I've been watching The Friends of Ringo Ishikawa and it has never been discounted more than 30%. Why!?
WILL: A Wonderful World and Meitetsu: Pure Station are both decent and interesting VNs but not really amongst the best that the Switch has to offer at the point. I used to buy more CIRCLE games in the 3DS era when they felt like decent games for the price they cost but these days there are so many really great indie games releasing regularly which probably makes it a bit harder for their eShop games to compete.
I have not heard of a single one of these games.
@Garo agreed. I got Pan Pan during some sale for $1 or something like that and it’s a very fun game! Really tried not to look for hints but some puzzles are quite hard!!!!
never heard of this games before
I have meaning to download World Conqueror X and Mercenaries Saga Chronicles but other games (often of the same genre) have always captured my attention far more. Unsure whether to download even with the sale on!
Circle are certainly a name known well by me as a dev, & I really like 3 or 4 of their games, but....
EDIT: Just downloaded the two games mentioned! Lol
I’d advocate for A Dark Room. I enjoyed it-not super long, but enjoyable.
Mercenaries Saga Chronicles is a generic tactical RPG that offers a lot of content for your money, especially at sale price. It's no Fire Emblem: Three Houses but it isn't bad by any means. WILL: A Wonderful World is an okay visual novel which is basically a compendium of short stories that you influence as a god. Again it's a pretty average game but could be worth it for a sale if you're starved for games at the moment.
A Dark Room is worth considering at 85% off. It's a text based resource management game that eventually adds in turn based RPG elements with a randomly generated world map. The story is fairly interesting. I enjoyed it enough on iOS to buy it again on a previous sale. There's a plot twist part way through the game that really changes the tone of things, but the game can be beat a more challenging way that is less morally compromised (best saved for a second play through).
Aside from A dark room (which is a free android and browser game btw), I have no idea what any of these games are
The number of people that have commented, "Never heard of these games before."
Good grief, these developers have been around since the 3DS at least. There are other people that makes games besides Nintendo. Try out some other games.
If you like strategy type games, but the "Mercenaries" and "Conquer" games are enjoyable.
What is the game in the header? Looks beautiful.
I'm watching Shadows of Adam for a long time...
Wonderful game, too bad it never gets a big discount
I'm always torn on whether I should get WILL or not. It seems interesting, but still a tad expensive even at sale price...
@XCWarrior Have you played both of the Conquer games? I'm intrigued but they look a bit dense and I'm afraid they may be hard to get into. Looks can be deceiving though!
@Sakaixx Mercenaries Wings: The False Phoenix.
By the way, has anyone played it? Is it like a Mercenaries Saga 4?
friends of ringo is such a fun and moody game
@kaiofelipe A friend of mine had played all 4 and said Wings is more like 3.5 than number 4 in the series. It improves in presentational elements and in a few minor ways here and there from the Saga series & ties into no.3 or something like that (?)
@XCWarrior Yeah strange. They have done loads of games. The Swords and Soldiers WiiU and Switch series and Go Go Kokopolo 3DS were particular highlights for me.
@myMaudlinCareer I loved the demo of Friends of Ringo Ishikawa but I just keep putting off getting the full game.
I've also been circling Arrest of Stone Buddha which looks somehow exactly the same in screenshots / trailer. Any knowledge of that one?
@N64-ROX Arrest of a Stone Buddha intrigues me as much as Friends of Ringo Ishikawa does just, waiting for a larger sale. Both seem to be big on being existential games and I find both intriguing.
@Moroboshi876 You know, I have wondered that same thing myself. I'm itching to pull the trigger on this and Arrest of a Stone Buddha but...Maybe it just hasn't been out long enough, I guess? The same goes for Shadows of Adam. The good thing about Circle is their games will go on sale again. I just so happen to have more than enough games to play in the meantime.
Mercenaries Saga Chronicles are three good srpg's in the style of FFT but with poorer writing. (still a pretty interesting story). It's worth a buy if you like that type of gameplay. I still think Disgaea is better but Mercenaries is fine.
PAN-PAN was good too but very short. Like you can finish it in one hour. It has some good puzzles tho.
World Conqurer X is absolute trash! The presentation and muffled generic sound effects screams mobile game. All missions are ranked on a three star system just like all mobile f2p games.
The models and the backgrounds don't use the same art-style at all. Feels like you're moving around stickers more than actual military units. It's garbage! Buy Civ or Wargroove instead.
Nintendo Life team, when you write about eShop deals, put a freaking link FOR THE DEAL, not for an internal page about the game!
