UK chart data is now in for the week ending 12th September, revealing that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is Nintendo's highest-charting title once again.
The game managed to creep back up into third place this week, fending off new release, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. Marvel's Avengers and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 remain in first and second places respectively after achieving those positions in their opening weeks last time out.
Elsewhere, the physical release of Minecraft Dungeons has debuted in sixth place, with the Switch version accounting for 72% of those sales. It's been another decent week on the whole for Switch, with four of the top ten being exclusive to Nintendo's platform.
Here's a look at this week's top ten all formats chart:

Fittingly Ring Fit Adventure has strong legs. Whoop! Very happy to see that!
Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, Minecraft Dungeons, Minecraft, NBA 2K21, Ring Fit Adventure. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. 🤔
NBA and Minecraft dungeons are multiplatform
Tom Nook must have a mansion. Two mansions. Three mansions.
@MrBlacky
4 titles exclusively on the Switch.
@TheFullAndy
Doesn't say anything about exclusively. And even if, what does it matter? A game on Switch is a game on Switch. Otherwise, neither Playstation nor XBox would have ANY games in the Top 10.
@MrBlacky
I didn't write the article bud I am just clarifying what they meant by Nintendo taking 4 of the top 10.
They say it this way every week.
Also it is correct that Sony and Microsoft don't have any exclusive titles in the top ten.
@MrBlacky but this is combined sales on all platforms
@TheFullAndy
No, if we only count exclusive titles, then Sony or Microsoft have zero titles in the top 10. Not just no exclusively ones.
Oh, and I also didn't mention anywhere that you wrote the article. 🙂
@Tantani
So what? Is the game also on Switch or not? 🤷♂️
Can GTA V just die already?????? Surely by now, there's more copies than people in the UK??
@MaseSco GTA V will die as soon as GTA VI is released.
@Tantani
I'm not sure what you're getting at?
@sanderev So in 20 years...
Pleased to see Kingdoms of Amalur do well.
Still play the original to this day, so I'll probably not double dip just for a graphical upgrade.
My copy of Ring Fit Adventure just arrived. I’m ready for the second wave of lockdown now...
@MrBlacky it is on switch, but it isn’t a Nintendo win since it isn’t only on the switch
It is a Nintendo win only if it sold far better on the switch
@Tantani
Let me just ask this: How many PS4 games are in the theses charts?
@MrBlacky exclusives? Non
Overall? 5
And yet, non as all of them multi plays combined sales
@Tantani
No, they have ZERO in the charts. Because, as we have learned, only exclusive titles count.
Mario Odyssey sold ~85,000 copies at launch in the UK, making int is the fastest-selling Mario platformer of all time.
I expect Mario 3D All-Stars to sell around half of what Mario Odyssey sold. Demand is very high but lack of supply will hurt the game's retail launch sales. Digital sales will be substantial.
