It might be just under two months away, but it's never too early to prepare for the spookiest night of the year. To be fair, 2020 has been doing a rather good job of turning our dreams into nightmares already, but the Pokémon Company has some slightly more lighthearted alternatives to the horrors of reality, and they're now up for grabs (of course!) on the Pokémon Center website in the US.
The swag-licious Pokémon 2020 Halloween collection has arrived on said online portal and includes a range of clothing with images of the spookier 'mon to get you in the mood for the end of October. A second wave of goodies is coming in the near future which will feature various thrillingy items, including some impossibly cute figurine sets.
There's a whole bunch of Poké Items to browse, and they do say that a hundred pictures paint a hundred-thousand words (or something like that), so we'll list the swag and follow that up with some choice pics of our favourites.
Here are the items currently available online from the store, as per the official PR blurb:
- Startled Pikachu Relaxed Fit Crew Neck T-Shirt
- Eyes of Gengar Relaxed Fit Crew Neck T-Shirt, Fitted Long-Sleeve T-Shirt, and Relaxed Fit Zip-Up Hoodie
- Phases of the Night: Umbreon Fitted Long-Sleeve T-Shirt and Relaxed Fit Zip-Up Hoodie
- Light of the Sun: Espeon Relaxed Fit Crew Neck T-Shirt
- Light of the Moon: Umbreon Relaxed Fit Crew Neck T-Shirt
- Dark and Light: Espeon & Umbreon Relaxed Fit Crew Neck T-Shirt
There's also a host of other goodies, from key chains to figures, and they're down as 'coming soon':
Pokémon Pumpkin Party Poké Plush: Some of the best trick-or-treat companions come in the form of Pikachu, Morpeko, Whimsicott, and Yamper in silly Halloween costumes.
Pokémon Pumpkin Party Poké Plush Key Chains: Adorable, costumed Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, and Trapinch key chains add seasonal charm to Trainers’ backpacks, lanyards, and Halloween décor.
Litwick Plush Hat, Morpeko Reversible Plush Hat, and Hattrem Plush Hat: Top off any Halloween outfit with a plush hat featuring Litwick, Morpeko, or Hattrem. The Morpeko plush hat is reversible so that Trainers can sport the Pokémon in its Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode.
Haunted Pokémon Village Figures: Mismagius, Mimikyu, Gengar, and Cofagrigus are featured in these highly-detailed and collectible Halloween figures that are a perfect centerpiece for seasonal décor.
Haunted Pokémon Village Printed Poster: The full Haunted Pokémon Village featuring Cofagrigus Crypt, Gengar House, Mimikyu's Costume Shop, and Mismagius Charm Shop is beautifully illustrated in this decorative poster.
Haunted Pokémon Village Tin Signs: Adorn the house with a tin sign showcasing Gengar with its devious eyes.
Haunted Pokémon Village Window Clings: Add extra Pokémon Halloween flare to windows with these themed clings.
No word on when that second batch of gear will drop on the store, but with Halloween a matter of weeks away, it surely won't be too long. Head over to Pokémon Center to check out the entire collection (along with just how much PokéCoin all these items will set you back).
Trick or treat? Too early to start carving pumpkins? Anything above give you the chills? Let us know if you'll be prepping for 31st October with any of the items above.
I'm ok with it. Bring on the Halloween stuff.
I love the black gengar shirt!
This is too spooky for me.
I would love to but they still don’t ship to Canada and I’m getting real sick of it. Like I don’t like Pokémon either.
Ooh my, is Nintendo Life turning into stores that advertise holidays 2 months early? I digress, I love those shirts
@Apportal More like cute spooky!
These are adorable. While I was in Japan, I had to make an active effort to stop buying things from the Pokemon Center every time I went to Osaka. It builds up so fast.
@Apportal Japan makes everything cute. I lived there for 5 years as a teacher. Kids don't really like scary things, they want exciting or cute. They think we're weird for wanting to be frightened.
Aww, that Yamper is adorable. If I still bought plushies, I'd probably get that one. I have too many as it is though. I really like the Umbreon shirt too.
