This week, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is hosting a tournament for all of its top pilots. The line-up includes Fox and Wolf from Star Fox, Captain Falcon from the F-Zero series, Zero Suit Samus from the Metroid series, and...Olimar from Pikmin. Eek!
All of the stages featured in this upcoming tournament will include vehicles. The event itself kicks off this Friday, on 17th July, and will run for the entire weekend. Above (and below) is some stunning artwork to help promote this.

Can't play as Samus in her suit? Weird...
EDIT: Never mind I think it has to do with the characters' Final Smashes.
A friendly reminder we haven’t had a New F-zero game In 16 years 😆😄😀😐
No Origami King Spirits? Huh. I was hoping to see a Colored Pencils battle.
@PikaPhantom my ideal fighter would be all different color inklings favoring their side smash.
I’ll DEFINITELY be participating! Nice to be able to play as those characters!
And that art is sick 😎
Olimar keeps crashing, I wouldn’t exactly call him a “top pilot”.
Knowing Pikmin lore, Olimar is the very last example I’d give of an ace pilot.
WE WANT A NEW F-ZERO!!!
Olimar an Ace pilot? Really? Are we forgetting the whole reason Pikmin 1 happened was because he crashed?
And Samus is a pilot but that's always seemed very secondary to me. She's more of a commando/foot soldier.
That ain't Falco...
@Luigivaldo @Tourtus Regular Samus and Falco will definitely be a part of this. These tourney announcements don't always show all the characters that can take part
irony is that all these are dying/dead franchises
@SoManyHaveDied I was essentially gonna say the same thing. These all need new games. Wonder when we're ever gonna hear about Prime 4 again...
I don't care about your over-the-top party game that neckbeards keep mistaking for a fighting game. Let Criterion make a new F-F'ing-Zero already or at damn least re-release F-Zero GX on the Switch. Come the hell on.
Wow and it's space week where l am right now xD
@DrJoson After seeing the in game notice for this event, you're right!
@Heavyarms55 @Thannus @SirKif Olimar's crashes usually are an accident. Plus, we only know of 2 to 3 crashes he has been in, his career as a pilot could be relatively free of them. He is the top employee of Hocotate Freight which kinda proves he's a good pilot.
@Tourtus Fair enough, most pilots don't live to experience a second or third crash.
