The next online competition for Pokémon Sword and Shield has been announced, and this one has a focus on the newly-released Isle of Armor DLC.
It's called Armor Beginnings and asks players to use Pokémon found in the new expansion, potentially giving some of the more uncommon monsters a chance to shine. All players taking part will receive 50BP and registration is now open. You can find all the details you need below:
Competition Name: Armor Beginnings
Sign-Up Period: Thursday, 16th July to Thursday, 23rd July 23:59 UTC
Competition Period: Friday, 24th July, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, 26th July, at 23:59 UTC
Battle Format: Single Battle
Eligible Pokémon: Pokémon obtained in The Isle of Armor Expansion only.
- Pokémon with the Galar Mark or Battle Ready Mark

Single battle? Lolnope.
Not unless it's full 6v6 singles with at least a 30 minute timer. But that's never happening.
I'll stick with VGC doubles this gen.
Finally, I'll have some rest from Trick Room. It is annoying me way too much.
@MajinSoul I don't think Cinderace is eligible as he's from the base game, not the expansion?
Well this is a new wrinkle, huh. I haven't started the expansion, and haven't bought a second copy for my son's Shield. So, for the first time, we are gated out.
@Kisame83 No worries, you're not gated out. Many of the Pokemon in the Isle of Armor Dex are shared with the initial Galar region Dex and can be caught on the mainland. Even for those that aren't, the game was updated to recognize and allow the "new" Pokemon into your game from trades or from Pokemon Home.
There's nothing stopping you from kicking butt and taking names! =D
